FedCLEVELAND, Ohio -- Speakers at an Occupy Cleveland rally near the Free Stamp in Willard Park said the movement was endorsed today by supporters on the left and the right, which tells them they are on to something.
"The board of directors of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream said today they backed the movement," Chris Sobolewski told a crowd of about 200 people Saturday afternoon. "Then we learned that Fed Up USA, one of the founding groups of the Tea Party also support the movement.
"I figure any time you can get a bunch of hippies who make ice cream and a bunch of right-wingers to agree then you've got something," he said.
Signs bearing slogans like "Where's our loophole?" "Greed will be the end of America" and the timely "Vote no on issue 2" were everywhere at the park

DEMONIC
I gave them a one-finger salute as I drove by....more than they deserve.
Fed Up USA, one of the founding groups of the Tea Party also support the movement.
I have never heard of or red about Fed Up USA.
They were not a founding group of any Tea Party I am aware of! So either trying to legitimize “Occupy Cleveland “ or a set up to take fall.
The question was rhetorical...
OMG...I have things to do today...part of me wants to act like things are normal and the other part of me is like reaching the panic level.
Two ice cream men and a UTPO (Unidentified Tea Party Organization, which tells them they are on to something?
LOL...sounds like a lot of them are not local. Otherwise they would know what the shore of Lake Erie is like in the winter.
Ping for your FYI.
We’re being set-up...
“setting up the gun toting Right wingers to be the fall guy when the violence and shootings start”
My thoughts too. They’re hoping we’ll hold counter demonstrations and then the fireworks [instigated by union thugs - blamed on the Tea Party] can begin.
As for greed....the slothful expecting the producers to give to them what they have not earned is the ultimate definition of greed.
Yup!!
I've noticed this over the last few days, especially on the YouTube comments. They're desperately trying to associate the TP and them as having the same gripes.
Even Gretta flat out said the TP has the same position as these maggots on her show the other night. Luckily she was half way corrected by whoever her guest was.
I hadn't thought about the "when the violence occurs" angle though.
I think you are correct.
Yup, all the more reason that Ron Paul and his fanatical followers are a blight on the conservative movement and Republican party.
Major tea party organizations should make sure to clearly disassociate themselves from these occupyapark vermin.
The sooner Ron Paul leaves the Republican party the better.
It always amazes me how a corporation could be so STUPID as to take a political side (either side), in this kind of fight.
Wouldn’t it simply make more sense to concentrate on selling ice cream.
The Tea Party leaders would be wise to start talking in the name of this group to give Soros and his merry Marxists some heavy competition. They should say people are sick and tired of croney capitalism, globalism, open borders, the police state and the political elite’s violation of the Bill of Rights. They should call for an end to the Patriot Act and Homeland inSecurity.
That’s radical but it is best to be radical on the constitution restoration end of things rather than to offset the global communists’ demands for more of Obama, socialism and police state control.
They should also demand the Obama regime resign for further wrecking the economy and the crimes they have committed - running guns to Mexican cartels and passing out taxpayer money to donars through the stimulous bag of money they shook down from Americans.
Is their logo - FU USA?
I had a similar thought. We should play their game & infiltrate these gatherings, acting as if we are one of them. Too bad most of us have to work and take care of our families, but these are the kind of tactics they use on us.
Friggn lame street liberal snooze media keeps trying to pump this anti-Capitalist/pro-Communist movement. Not once have I read or heard a bad word about it on the local news here in NYC. Nothing but admiration. Nothing about it being led by revolutionaries with aims to overthrow Capitalism. Now if it were a Tea Party event...
Do we even try to counter this? Or do we simply go about our business of getting ready to survive?
From New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, Fri, Oct 7, 2011:
“But there’s clearly a core group of self-styled anarchists - that’s what they call themselves - who want to have a confrontation with police.”
He said that following Wednesday’s 10,000-strong union march, a much smaller group tried to storm police barricades at Wall Street and Broadway.
“They locked their arms. They counted down - 10, 9, 8, 7, 6. Then they decided to charge the police. That is going to be met with some physical force,” Kelly said.
Overthrow the republic for which it stands....change the rhetoric. This is not about Capitalism...it is about America.
On their website they have Dennis Kucinich listed as a Congressional Patriot as well as Brad Sherman (D),Marcy Kaptur (D), Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI),Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick (D-MI) and some other Democrats and Jim Demint.
As far as I can tell they are against the banks
