Looks like the Cain folks have split between Bachmann and Perry. Newt’s grabbing all the establishment republicans.

Oh I think you have to say that Newt got some Cain folks, although I would think Perry and Bachmann got some too.

I was a Cain-Newt-Perry sort of guy - now I”m a Newt-Perry sort. But, I’m not in Iowa....

Not necessarily. It looks to me like what you said is partly true, combined with a siphoning off of Romney's support to Bachmann, Perry, and Paul.

At any rate, I predicted that for Romney to win, he had to take first in NH, come in no worse than second in IA and SC, and that if anyone else wins IA and SC and comes in second in NH (i.e., Newt), Romney is finished. We'll see. I can't see any circumstance where anyone other than Newt comes in second in NH.
