Charleston, South Carolina (CNN) - With three days to go until the first-in-the south primary, Mitt Romney remains in the lead in the Palmetto State, but according to a new poll, his advantage over Newt Gingrich is rapidly shrinking.
A CNN/Time/ORC International poll indicates that 33% of likely South Carolina Republican primary voters say they are backing Romney, with 23% supporting Gingrich. The former Massachusetts governor's 10 point advantage over the former House speaker is down from a 19 point lead two weeks ago. According to the survey, former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania is at 16%, Rep. Ron Paul of Texas is at 13%, and Texas Gov. Rick Perry stands at 6%.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I think laugh because all you suckers have pulled this shit for at least 4 different candidates jumping from candidate to candidate and now you have Romney's twin only with worse ethics, infidelity, and less attractive.
At this point who cares, if the choices are Mitt/Newt vs. Obama I choose Mitt. At least he can win and even challenge for toss up states even though his record sucks. Newt hasn't had a record in 15 years and he ended it being kicked out by staunch Conservatives and fined 300,000 dollars.
Last chance to beat Romney? It's over boys and girls. Perry and Santorum supporters don't like Newt because he's an unethical scumbag who flip flops as much as Mitt. Sarah Palin has lost her freaking mind and the "evangelical leaders" look like a bunch of confused clowns.
So we should coalesce around the guy (Gingrich) who finished 4th (in Iowa) and 5th (in New Hampshire)?
This would tighten to 30-26 for Mitt/Newt if Perry dropped out before Saturday.
If Romney makes it to the nomination, it will be solely due to the divided conservative vote. Santorum is a fine candidate, but Newt is the obvious challenger to Romney. Hopefully people will figure that out before it’s too late.

First of all, referring to Gingrich as "Noot" is childish. Perhaps it's the unrealistic childish mentality that believes Santorum can win against Obama.
Why not just change parties and wait until the presidential election, and vote for your favorite candidate.:

I prefer data, actual polling that demonstrates that Santorum is within the MOE vs Obama, and (more importantly) is holding Obama under 50 percent.
But supporting someone other than Newt makes me ‘childish’. Good to hear it.

Yeah, you simply can’t understand how a principled conservative could reject Newt Gingrich in favour of Rick Santorum.
Ask around, we’ll be happy to explain our position and why.
According to the poll mentioned here, either Santorum or Gingrich would beat Romney one-on-one. Gingrich is stronger in this poll, however.
After the results are tallied in SC, we will know which of the two should think seriously about getting out for the good of the country.

No, I’m just a conservative who really does not like Newt and supports Santorum now that my first choice is out.
