Can we petition Congress to ban earthquakes? The release of all this methane gas contributes to global warming and climate change, and I really think our elected officials should do something to stop these devastating earthquakes.

I agree. A select committee should be set up to study what we can do to prevent earth farts.

Everyone knows... better to let it out and bare the shame, than hold it in and bear the pain.
Just assume an excuse me on Mother Nature's part.

Why worry about earthquakes?
I watched “Blazing Saddles” and saw the potential devastation wrought by bipodal legumes...

I really think our elected officials should do something to stop these devastating earthquakes. Absolutely! Any government that can end evolution with laws like the Endangered Species Act -- which stops "survival of the fittest" in its tracks -- should easily be able to stop earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding and other natural disasters.

And thus we now have the answer to the age old question: “Which came first, the methane or the quake?” ;-)

"Quakes Thought to Help Release Methane From Seabed..." ...and because we know methane is a greenhouse gas and because we know fracking causes earthquakes - therefore no fracking!

WE’d need a seismic ceasefire petition.. and a volcanic one too.. and then the effects of our cooling solar cosmic situation,, well, that adds to the mix.. Good luck!
