Highway 72 is washed away numerous places to the eact of me starting and closed at an undercut at a culvert where the dirt is washed away under the pavement just to the west of me. There is one road out that I tried today and made it, but it took 1 1/2 hours just to get to Golden. I am hearing estimates that it may take months to fix. If there is more rain tonight, the heavily damaged road I took today in a 4WD SUV will not be passable. Many places had 1/4 of the road washed away already.

Thanks so much for pinging, I’ve been following the Drudge Report and wondered about you when I saw how bad it is. Here is another link from there;

Drudge Report says 230 people are unaccounted for!

So much distruction and I hope you and your family are safe. We, down here in South Texas, are under water restriction from long time drought.
Take care!
