The worlds oldest man, a 112-year-old self-taught musician, coal miner and gin rummy aficionado from western New York, has died. He was 112.
Salustiano Sanchez-Blazquez died Friday at a nursing home in Grand Island, according to Robert Young, senior gerontology consultant with Guinness World Records.
Sanchez-Blazquez became the worlds oldest man when Jiroemon Kimura died June 12 at age 116.

That man certainly lived in interesting times. Wonder how much of what he saw was remembered.
To: Olog-hai
He didn’t hold the title long. Boy, as soon as they name you as “oldest man”, the clock starts ticking! It’s like a death sentence or something!

Here we go again. Every time some poor soul is designated as "World's Oldest", he or she dies within a few months. Whoever is doing that needs to stop jinxing these people, sheesh.

I’m always troubled at times like this when we are without an oldest man. When will a new one be appointed?
