The video story is entitled “Sailor mom surprises daughter at school.” It first appeared on CNN on Thursday — on loan from an Indianapolis Fox affiliate.
Prior to CNN’s presentation of the video (just after the mandatory commercial), a warning message appeared for several seconds in bold font atop a two-tone black background.
“Please be advised you are about to hear an excerpt of the national anthem,” the warning declared.

Perhaps some of the few dozen people that still watch CNN are offended by brass instruments?
Back in the day, most TV stations didn’t run 24/7. When they went off air at night they played the National Anthem. I was hoping the headline meant that CNN was going off air for good. I still hope it happens soon.
Me too, I can decide to go elsewhere or listen to my own
music or whatever, if I have to be out.
I’ve looked for that sign off. One of the early ones was of an F-5 all over our landmarks.
When I go out, I hope I am not recognized and get back to the hideout as fast as possible....lol.
It's why the Internet is great for me. You can make everyone simply go away with just a click and move on.
I've done all the big crowd, big city and big airport things....Been there done that, no more....I avoid going in to public like I would the plague....I have other interests and endeavors which thankfully do not include going in to public.

We need an alacarte system NOW! I quit cable because I was paying a small fortune and never watched the vast majority of the channels I was forced to subscribe to. I want one channel out of a “pack” so I have to take 20 I’ll never spend one second watching. No thanks.
They have all these suckers paying to watch their endless commercials which they've already be paid for. Yukyuk.
