"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Donald Trump does exactly what rich business people do, support politicians of both parties who in turn support their business agenda.....

That’s the problem with this country in the end, politicians doing what rich elites want instead of the average person.

Trump talked about getting a better trade deal with China today. Seriously, Trump should be talking about a better military and cyber defense capability to deal with China as an ememy.

The rich guy thinking about international business and world trade shone through those tough talking remarks today.

And since 2010 he has contributed exclusively to Republicans.

He just buys the party in power.

He needs their favor.

And, if you need the favor of Congress you have to pay for it.

I'd MUCH rather vote for the payer than the despicable payee.

BTW, Has Ted Cruz disclosed the list of folks who gave him his first $40mil yet? Just wondering if there's a Goldman Sachs connection.

How about Super Pacs, any announced or demonstrated for Cruz yet? He NEEDS THEM DESPERATELY to have a shot at the nomination, much less the General.

Of course he did, Trump is a liberal!

His sole reason for entering the race is to try to get enough traction for just long enough to push Cruz off the stage.

And all he has to do is yell about fast track and send his paid minions out to point the finger at Cruz and he will accomplish his mission of fooling enough conservative dupes just long enough before they finally remember he is a liberal on every OTHER issue.

the guy thinks big like Reagan.. he said he’s going to build the fence, kill Isis and get the economy surging again...

nobody else will make sure we don’t always get the short end of the stick in trade and foreign policy talks

nobody else running has the experience doing any of that let alone has his abilities to lead and get big things done.. I’d like to see him get in there and shake Washington DC to it toes because nobody there is going to change a thing......

IMHO let’s see him debate the issues and then torch him if he can’t hang with Cruz or the others

Nearly all of the rich folks donate to candidates in both political parties. That should be common knowledge by now.

But go right ahead. This will be a fun Spectacle to watch. Heh...I wrote “Spectacle.”

I still believe the Congressional election of 2006 was profoundly important and yet remains an almost hidden feature of political history.

The democrats gained strong control of Congress and THIS event more than anything else— precipitated the mortgage crisis and economic collapse.

It is also helped give legitimacy to the antiwar/progenocide crowd that would elect Obama and give Iraq back to ISIS.

President Bush warned the crowing Pelosi and Reid about this in the state of the Union of 2007 where he said an Iraq withdrawal would lead to exactly what has happened since Obama took over.

The refusal to document and defend these domestic and international fenceposts is why we cannot return to prosperity and respect.

It was never Bush’s fault and sadly many conservatives and all democrats still agree that it was.

The intellectual culture that controls our memory is most to blame.

I am not surprised that the Donald did this. The man is dangerously fickle.

Rush was right today. he is the new Perot.

Trump is a Republican of convenience. This sordid past of giving substantial sums of money to 'Rats is well known. If asked about it today and he was forthright, he'd say that those contributions were only a cost of doing business in New York and perhaps New Jersey.

Note also that Trump didn't run for president in 2012, because he felt that Romney would adequately represent his positions on the issues he most cares about.

But hopefully, Trump will do a service to this GOP primary campaign by getting other candidates to solidify their positions against illegal immigration and against amnesty. Then, too, he can siphon off some RINO primary votes from Jeb Bush and others.

Dear Chuck,

Trump is in a Democrat city in a Democrat state surrounded by Democrat states, and infested with Democrat politicians that could easily kill his business plans.

Peddle your BS somewhere else, hack.

Love,

Laz
