Try taking the subject of Eminent Domain to the Great Unwashed and watch how fast their eyes glaze over.

Trumpkins can’t even pronounce “eminent domain”. And they think people who care about liberty are losers.

Nice try, Rand.

No Trump supporter is going abandon The Donald because of eminent domain; I think it's been established that his horrible policy positions in the past don't matter to them.

But in real world, Trump's actions with respect to the issue were horrible and he should have been ashamed of himself:

TRUMPED: The Donald, The Widow and Eminent Domain

Hmmm...if Trump genuinely believes that eminent domain when used by a private individual is a good thing, then I'd hold that against him.

But if Trump is using it merely because it's a tool allowed to him by law, then it's no big deal...it's much like a company avoiding taxes because the law allows it to do so.

I used to like Rand but he supported Mitch the bitch McConnell’s Senate reelection. That said it all.

Two times, the city tried to used eminent domain to get someone to sell that was in the way of a Trump major project. Two times they failed to win.

It one case, Trump offered the owner 4 times what the property was worth before the city tried eminent domain.

Eminent domain is in the constitution.

Oh so the GOPee has gone to Paul now...Trump will do to him what he did to Graham...

The GOPee is running scared and they will pit anyone on Trump, but it won't work, Trump's supporters aren't messing around...

We have had enough of the ‘politicians’ and we don't want them in the White House because they will turn out to be what we have now....

Norton AFB, SoCal, 1982.

The airbase had done a study of aircraft accidents, and had cncurred that the ‘safety zone’ around the runways needed to be widened and lengthened.

I lived in a house that ‘in the approach runway zone’. In fact the red end-of-runway lights were visible from my back door, as well as the approaching aircraft, with the landing gear down and landing lights on, from my front door.

So, all the fifty houses at my end of ‘the new-to-be-improved-zone’, were offered a set fee, supposedly at market value, and if we refused, the USAF would just condemn the houses, pay us nothing, no moving compensations, nada.

I took the money and ran. I made $15,000.00 above the price that the house was mortgaged for.

Rand Paul wants to chide Trump about eminent domain?

What about all the houses, from 1982, that have been forced sales, ‘for the convenience of the government’, which as a U.S. Senator, Rand Paul has put his ‘aye’ vote, towards?

The government stealing private property is a conservative position! We should remove all limits that protect private property from the government! We need to make the GOPe understand that they have to embrace big government!

I detest Rand Paul. So he’s out to “get” Trump? Good luck, lightweight.

All is Trump has to do is say he used the laws on the books to his advantage.

I wish Trump would get ready for the little guy and research who voted for that eminent domain law and who was the President who signed off on it. I would bet the Rinos and Demonrats both supported it because they are bought by Corporations. Then he could respond with a list of Corporations and groups that have bought Rand Paul.

Actually, for me, this has been a major concern of mine some time now. Mr. Trump doesn’t seem to have any problem at all with the Kelo decision. I and many other conservatives do.

I wonder how many people on FR would support the government taking their guns as long as they are justly compensated?

Private property is private property. Rights are rights. The right to own a firearm assumes the right to own private property.
