Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin has concluded he no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination and plans to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to three Republicans familiar with his decision, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

George Will’s wife is out of a job. Now he is really angry.

I’m sorry to hear that. I feel like he had some very important thing to contribute to the dialogue, especially his desire to dissolve federal unions which would be a great boost to the economy.

I didn’t think he was the guy, but people like him are helpful in the dialogue about what’s needed.

This is a surprise as I just read that Scott had worked his way up to reach 0% in the polls.

“The important question is who is going to get his supporters??”

In the last poll, Walker had support of 0% of GOP Primary voters.

I would think that half of Scott’s 0% could go to Bush and the other half of that 0% will go to Trump and Carson.

“Can’t blame him at this point. Accomplishment alone doesn’t get it done anymore. Voters like charisma.”

Yes.

I remember last spring when people kept talking him up like he was the most amazing candidate to ever run.

I decided to listen to some of his speeches, and I was completely perplexed at what on Earth was so exciting about the guy. I didn’t feel any buzz at all.

It takes more than a bullet point list of accomplishments to win. People want to be sold on a candidate’s ability to implement a vision.

Smart move on his part.

Hanging around with barely 1% support with such a large field, he really can't get noticed.

It's never a good idea for even your team to get the feeling that you're a loser and everyone knows it but you!

He's done a respectable job, is still a young man based on politics and has time to return after we get beyond the Obama disaster/Trump steamroller days.

Usually, it's only your family and those "advisors getting paid" who will urge you to hang in there, when the handwriting is on the wall.

Would that Santorum and Huckabee would step aside as well but probably won't happen, especially as the Huckster want's to be another king maker, ala Romney!

The other boobs, Grahamnesty, Christie, Kasich, Gilmore (who?) and Pataki, et all are intended to be there to stonewall a conservative/populist (Trump) from winning.

At this point, I'd like to see Cruz, Carson, Fiorina, Trump slug it out to then take out the elephant poop!

“we’ll never know the degree to which Walker was so damaged by that “$2.2 billion dollar deficit” BS from Trump.”

I seriously doubt that was a factor. Walker performed very poorly in both debates, and he flip-flopped repeatedly on crucial issues like illegal immigration, and he got trapped by the press into making ridiculous statements about a Canadian Wall, you know, to stop those millions of Canucks that sneak into the U.S. every year.

Wow. sad.

It also angers me, because the media-run "debates" never allowed him to promote, or even mention his great achievements in WI.

I’m surprised he didn’t do better than he did. Labor union thugs will be happy.

This is what happens when you get weak-kneed.

Had he been stronger on the illegal invasion, and more forceful overall he wouldn’t be an also-ran.

I liked Walker’s resume’ but wouldn’t vote for him because he was vacillating, and wouldn’t come down hard on the crimmigrant aliens.

So, I bid him adieu, and wish him well in his job as governor.

Next to go should be Pataki, Jindal, Santorum, and Huckabee.

For anyone not named Clinton or Bush the primary season is a meat grinder during which every flaw will be exposed. It has been that way for a long time. If they were still alive you could go ask Ed Muskie and George Romney.

Literally... has the best resume of the bunch outside of Cruz.

Yeah Cruz is my first choice because he is the best for the job and Walker was my second. Now I have no second choice in the GOP current lines up.

GAWD! Poor George. Now he can’t sit around the lunch table for 2 hours every afternoon chewing the fat and drinking the Scotch with Krauthammer and others of that ilk.

He may have to actually get busy and write another (booooooring) book!

I’m now convinced it’s going to be Rubio. I would have preferred Walker (Would also prefer Cruz but Rubio will beat him on “likability”).
