The officers, including a high-ranking official, said their reluctance to speak publicly also stemmed from concern they would run afoul of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, who has repeatedly said celebrations did not take place.... I doubt they're the only people afraid to come forward with what they saw that day.

Of course some Muslims celebrated in NJ, because they were scumbags, but Trump never saw video that day of thousands of muslims celebrating in NJ, because such video tape never existed. When they celebrated in the U.S., they did it in small groups, away from non-muslims and certainly far from television cameras.
Trumps comment was hyperbolic nonsense and this has been obvious from the day he said it. But it's just not that important. It's about a month since the time to move on has passed.
