Beck Pleads Cruz Rally To Accept Even ‘Marxist Atheists’ Because ‘They Renew Us ‘
Breitbart ^

Posted on 01/24/2016 8:44:05 AM PST by springwater13

Beck's speech continued by urging Iowans to support someone like Cruz, who he argued would take risks to bring as many Marxist atheists—like Cruz's father was when he came in from Cuba- as possible into America from foreign lands on the off chance they might end up seeing the light and becoming conservative Christians.

"So when we look at immigration, let's remember that people-if they want to come here and want to be Americans—they renew us," Beck said.

"And you never know what somebody might do. There was a Marxist, a Marxist who didn't really realize how Marxist he was that moved into the United States. A guy who fought in a revolution for Marxist principles. He was a little nuts, a little crazy at the time-almost lost his life in fact in the struggle. Came over here, he was an atheist. Didn't believe in God. Now, who wants that guy here? Except that guy happens to be Rafael Cruz who fell in love with our principles, fell in love with our country, and raised a man who could be the next president of the United States."

Cruz should have called Beck and politely refused the endorsement and the joint meeting.

I mean, who could have predicted Beck would have made a disaster out of something there?

*rolls eyes*

I understand and respect your opinion, but there is no “sure bet” on who will win the general. I support Cruz. He’s not flashy, rich or loud. He has stood up on issues that matter to me, when no one else would. That is all I can base my opinion and one vote on.

Agreed. You'll never hear me talk of a sure thing on that electoral map.

McCain and Romney faced enemy electoral headstarts of approximately 250-170 and 250-180 ( differences dues to 2010 census adjustment ). Final results were McCain/Palin losing 365-173 and Romney/Ryan losing 332-206. You need 270.

Where the battle plays out is in the twelve swing states of OH, PA, MI, WI, FL, NC, IN, VA, IA, NM, NV, CO. McCain/Palin 2008 won zero, Romney/Ryan 2012 won two ( IN and NC ). North Carolina is now purple and was a squeaker twice with almost no difference in the two elections.

What I mean by ideological discretion is using care as to who is nominated and consequently runs in those twelve states. Wishful thinking does not cut it here. We must ask ourselves if an Evangelical and/or a Constitutionalist Conservative will help or harm in those battleground states. I ask people if you are really hearing clamor for such a candidate there? Or will it keep them home. Yes, there is no sure thing, but running Cruz in WI, MI, OH, PA, VA, NM, CO seems almost a sure thing to fail, and that is seven of them right there.

Life is not fair. People might well feel wonderful about themselves when they see a doctrinaire conservative on the ticket, but they have to look at the actual map. Everyone votes for President, not just (C) and (R). A better question might be that if Cruz or any other doctrinaire conservative cannot rally massive support in the primaries where the voting is confined to (R) and (C), then what do they expect to happen when the doors are open to (D) and (L) and (I) and everyone else?

If this were a House or Senate seat in a deep "blue" state I would still agree with primarying the RINO and running a (C) because the worst case scenario is losing a single seat. That's a gamble, but the bankroll risk is limited. The Presidential election is not just one man, but an entire branch of government with countless offices. The bankroll here is like taking everything you got, mortgaging the house and future earnings, borrowing more cash from everyone you know, and then placing it on a proposition hardway bet.

Now the thing that has me hopeful that Trump can thread this needle is that he apparently knows what a 50-state strategy is. That puts pressure on the enemy bankroll and forces them into a multi-front war where purple states are less defended and vulnerable to pickup. Self-financing allows this strategy of global war while using public financing limits you to focusing on targets of opportunity ( which there are very few ). There is much more to this, but I need to stop here for now.

Well then, the cause is lost. This country is screwed.

No kidding. The population is now +100 million over 1980 ( and coincidentally approximately 95 million are out of the workforce, hmmmm, replacements ). That is why running a (C) today is not the same thing as back then. Many of them cannot speak English let alone recognize the Constitution.

12-35 million illegal aliens. Ongoing naturalizations.

Socialists embedded in every office.

Your kids being indoctrinated.

Now you see why it would be selfish of us to think of our personal preferences running a (C) to make us feel better even though he faces a mountain to climb.

The problem is that we still have people that project magical powers onto the Office of the President, as if it is a magic bullet. Ironically they further propose that the magic man is a (C) who by definition would place a pair of handcuffs on himself or face the Alinsky chorus of You must follow your high Constitutional standards Mr. Conservative. You don't need me to point this out, just ask yourself what James Madison could do if he magically got elected to President this year?

Yeah we are screwed. It will take a string of Constitutional Amendments to lock down the FedGov monster. But there is future and current threats, and today it is the Invasion/Immigration/Naturalization as well as Supreme Court on the line. Our kids and Grandkids need to be trained properly to follow up later. And theirs as well.

I am so totally pi$$ed off at the Cruz campaign managers, I'm almost spitting nickels.

How could they have approved this idiocy? Handing out Teddy bears to illegals at the border with Beck? Performing a mock presidential swearing in ceremony? Being on stage with Beck? Man oh man. I think the Hindenburg crashing into the Titanic is the most descriptive comment of all of today's posts.
