The Mask Is Off: Trump Blames Conservatives For GOP Betrayals
The Daily Wire ^ | 2/11/16 | Ben Shaprio

Posted on 02/11/2016 8:44:58 AM PST by TBBT

On Wednesday, Donald Trump finally came out of the closet: yes, he admitted, he's no conservative, but conservatives are the problem with the country anyway. Here's his tweet:

Trump is half-right - the Republican Party has promised, over and over again, that it would implement conservative policies. Then they reneged, disappointing their conservative base over and over. That's one reason the two leading candidates for the Republican nomination are Trump and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), both hated by the establishment but supported by grassroots conservatives.

What Trump said in his tweet is absolutely correct. A lot of Tea Party conservatives said one thing to get elected and did another thing when they went to Washington. What, you don’t like hearing the truth? That’s why we don’t want politicians this time around.

Interesting that some here complaining adnausium about the conservatives as traitors when they get to Congress. However when an honorable person says it, “Oh boy another clutching the pearls” moment. Grow up.

Remember, it was the Republican Party, with the help of Conservatives, that made so many promises to their base, BUT DIDN’T KEEP THEM! Hi DT

Yes Mr Shapiro is going to have to clarify how he so manged to misrepresent this quote. The “Conservative” media might want to keep in mind candidates come and go but a reputation as a liar follows publications, and authors, around for the rest of their careers

The answer to, “...who will you vote for if he (Trump) is the nominee?” is Trump. Stop being an asshat about not going out to vote because the candidate isn’t a blueprint conservative. Hillary or Bernie will further degrade our great country. Do you want that?

Ben's got this one all wrong. That's my opinion, and the whole problem. It's one man's opinion.

I don't know why people even bother writing whole articles about tweets.

By their nature they are cryptic, and less than a full sound byte.

Trying to decipher them and filling an article around them is a fool's errand.

And who did the “Conservative” caucuses back? That’s right Rino, traitorous Ryan.

DT is spot on. We have a GOP-controlled Congress that has given Obama everything he wants. We have controlled the House since 2011 and have failed to use the power of the purse to stop his agenda. Obama has violated the Constitution with two executive amnesties and his flaunting of the law by changing the way Obamacare is implemented. No Rep has introduced impeachment proceedings.

The vast majority of Reps in Congress call themselves conservatives. Of course these CINOs have been responsible. Trump is pointing out how ridiculous these labels are. At the end of the day the entire political class is bought and paid for by their corporate paymasters and special interests. They have become disconnected from the people.

Wow, talk about spin... this his exact tweet:

“Remember, it was the Republican Party, with the help of Conservatives, that made so many promises to their base, BUT DIDN’T KEEP THEM! Hi DT”

That’s a patently true statement.. this article is laughable.

I'm a Cruz guy, and that's how I read the Tweet.

“What Trump said in his tweet is absolutely correct. A lot of Tea Party conservatives said one thing to get elected and did another thing when they went to Washington.”

Look at Kelly Ayotte, Marco Rubio, et al. Palin endorsed them and we were all goo goo over it. If Palin endorsed them they must be conservative.

Poor ol Ben. He must get paid by the article. This is his second hate piece/hit piece on Trump today. He has destroyed a pretty good reputation as a blogger. His reputation has taken a massive hit.

“Talk about your misleading titles.”

I have noticed that TBBT is very intellectual dishonest. I have got to the point that I have to dismiss any thread of his/her. Ben Shaprio is in the same vane.
