I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

Yeah, I control Trump from my secret cia financed facility, deep under an Amish barn in Intercourse, PA.

Public school education you have, I see.

I said, Let’s see Trump use EO’s. Why not? The useless Republicans didn’t stop 0bamao when he did it. It’s the new governing style.

Apparently, you can't comprehend what the "printed" words portray.

"Let's see..." means just what it means. It doesn't mean he will. Now, either you're incredibly ignorant or simply reading into it what you want. I vote for both.

Again, for the chronically stupid...Let's see trump govern the way 0bamao has done. It is clear that both demoncrats AND republicans see nothing wrong with governing by edict, since neither side of the uniparty did a damned thing to stop 0bamao when he did so.

His enemies have been saying that since before Iowa. Any day now and it will all be over for Cruz. If you had directed your animosity half as much toward Obama or Clinton, this nation would not be in the mess it is in.

“Couldn’t be anymore conservative than that.”

Unless of course he’s lying his ass off. Take a look at congress
It’s full of people who said the same thing getting elected.

Yea..We call them RINOs...We call them moderates....
We call them spineless cowards.

The bad part is we will have to elect him to find out
because, unlike Cruz, his track records been more of
leaning liberal than anything close to conservatism.
But hay, he’s still a better choice than Hillary or Sanders,
maybe. Even as a moderate at best.

-—Let’s see Trump use EO’s. Why not?-—

Maybe my public school education tells me you might want to use a comma after the word “see” to more clearly imply your context...

Now, either you’re incredibly ignorant or simply can not write coherent sentences... I vote for both.

See how that works...

“Trump WAS a liberal democrat.”

Many people WERE liberal democrats at one time, many of who were the never-have-really-given-it-a-thought-before type of liberal democrats.

Ronald Reagan came within a gnat’s nose hair of joining the Communist party when he was young. Other more recent famous converts are David Mamet and Dennis Miller.

Many years ago I was one of the not-thinking-about-it “liberals”, but then I stared to actually think about what was going on, started reading books like “Atlas Shrugged” and “Animal Farm”, and then Free Republic really helped to clarify things.

I’ve got a dear friend from high-school who was another not-thinking-about-it-lib who had an epiphany on an airplane during a conversation with (apparently) a VERY articulate conservative and who subsequently begin to read FR. And finally, my wife, who was a die-hard liberal, has shifted so far to the right she’s conservative as hell now, and part of the process has been sending her selective articles posted on FR.

So, being a liberal in the past, means nothing, other than the fact one finally grew up. For some, it simply takes longer than others.

No need for a comma. It would be useless. Much like your original post to me. Equally as useless as your second post to me.

“His supporters are fine with being governed by someone who will try to impose his religious beliefs on us all, and make decisions that affect us, according to those beliefs.”

Stats just do not support your view. And feelings of exuberance and confidence are not enough to win elections. In spite of being up against the weakest of candidates on the Democrat side, this election will most likely still be very close. The country is divided and made up of morons who do not deserve the right to vote. But they can and will. And they will continue to impose a socialist regime on those of us who have not and never will consent to being governed this way.

The core of Cruz supporters are social conservatives who either do not buy into Trump’s claims of social conservatism, or otherwise have strong doubts. Trump does not necessarily have to pick Cruz as his VP to win Cruz supporters over, but it would definitely work if he did. Otherwise he must get them somehow.

The GOPe has failed over and over, miserably precisely because they pay lip service to conservatives to get elected and then ignore us until the next election. Many have vowed never to be used this way again.

Without social conservatives, GOP will lose. That goes for Trump as well. Without getting a huge chunk of Cruz supporters, Trump does not have the slightest chance in the general. Not even an inkling.

Of course that is doubly true for Cruz. He cannot win the general without a large majority of Trump supporters. It would be even harder for him to accomplish this.

But without uniting both camps, the election is already predetermined. And the end of this nation will come much sooner and much more painfully. Both camps need to think this through before they throw away a chance to mitigate the destruction that is about to hit.

“Why do you believe him?”

because he’s not a politician and because he’s self-financed and not beholden to the rich oligarch and plutocrats to the tune of two billion dollars of campaign payoffs, uh, I mean donations per Presidential campaign as it the case with all other Presidential candidates for at least the past 30 years.

And because as a businessman he’s been on the other side of those campaign payoffs, uh, donations all his life, so he knows how corrupt things really are.

And because unlike practically ALL other Presidential candidates for at least the last 30 years, Trump has accomplished REAL things in his life; built real things in his lifetime; employed thousands to build those those things for him; employed thousands to operate those things for him.

“he ain’t gonna do nothing he says. He is a liberal democrat and has not won 50% in any state, that is why 65% plus DO NOT WANT TRUMP THE WHACKO BIRD.”

is that why 75% don’t want Cruz? Or is it a DIFFERENT reason 75% don’t want Cruz?

What an outstanding, informative post. Please post it as a separate thread. It deserves to be seen by as many Freepers as possible.

Your post will go a long way toward correcting many inaccuracies about Trump, and help a lot of those who are still on the fence, to make up their minds.

Well said.

Yeah. For the most part, Trump has persuaded me that his conservative commitment is genuine.

Now if we can just convince about 50 million or more voters to wake up to the same reality, things could take a major turn for the better.

Unfortunately, the diehard, radical leftists have played a much better long game for most of my lifetime.

Either way, glad to hear your story of positive change. It’s great to hear some positive news and stories with all the dismal stuff over the past few years.

really Jim,

after all these years, I only tossed out responses after your troops started with the FU posts. I complained about those and nothing is ever done, but, as we all know ... it’s your site and reflects your values. It will be interesting to see how the Trump crew “comes together” after Cleveland.

ymmv

Since most Trump supporter believe the fantasy, that Trump will destroy the GOPe, how is he going to do all those things listed with a GOPe that either is non- existent or his enemy...

Not a coherent paragraph...I obviously support Trump, and want him as Prez. But Job 1 is that the GOPee is going down. I support him in those efforts. When you call it a fantasy, does that mean you support the GOPee, or that you are in denial that it can be defeated?

Thie Trump supporters has lost sight of the concept of separation of powers...

I see cr@p like that, and it's obvious nonsense...I don't even want to assume what you mean by it. I don't wish to inadvertently provide some bit of logic to your mess. Maybe you can explain what you 'mean' by that...

The POTUS has no constitutional power over Individual congressman...

I don't remember any Trump supporter saying the POTUS did. Again, I don't want to inadvertently spice your hash with any logic...can you explain what you mean, if anything?

The weird thing is, Cruz was formerly anti-establishment, and I liked him better that Trump then, viewing Trump as more of a protest vote. Now that Cruz is colluding with the GOPe, his supposed enemies, I’ve lost all respect for him.
