Russians Celebrate Trump’s Inauguration By Putting Him On $10,000 Coin

A Russian manufacturing company has minted a $10,000 coin to commemorate the inauguration of Donald Trump as president.

The coin was manufactured by Art Grani and features the face of Trump on one side, with the Statue of Liberty and the words “In Trump we trust” on the other.

“The inauguration of Donald Trump will be a special event in the history of the world, that’s why we have done a collection,” Art Grani Sales Manager Kristina Glinina told CNN.

Despite the steep price of the coin, the company expects the limited edition to sell quickly. Just 45 coins were made: 25 made of silver, five of gold and 15 made of silver and gold.

A similar collection with the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin were created after Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014.

“We see our mission as immortalizing in metal the bright events of history and modernity, not only in our country but of the whole world,” Glinina told CNN.

I just purchased some of these to commemorate the event.

Purchases eight of them to share with family and friends.

They’re not with much, but it’s the memory that’s important to me.

I will never forget this time in my life.

I’ll bet the right decorative mat for the bottom of urinals would sell like hot cakes right now.

I used to find Jane Fonda’s face at the bottom of them once in a while.

I’d get a kick out of finding Obozo’s mug at the bottom of them for the next few decades.

This story is stupid. It’s written as though it’s something produced by the Russian government. It’s not. It’s just a company trying to make a buck. If you’d like to produce a coin there are several companies that you can contract with to do so. I’ve actually looked into this for a challenge coin in the past. You provide them the artwork, decide what material(s) you want to make the coin out of, and they’ll mint it for you in whatever quantity you want.
