To be fair, Bill Nye didn’t actually say people should be eliminated by their governments to save the environment and the planet. He did say that there are too many people and parents, at least in the developed world, should be punished for having "too many” children:
The season finale of pop scientist Bill Nye's new Netflix show "Bill Nye Saves the World" suggested that the government should punish people who have too many children, for the sake of the environment.
"The average Nigerian emits 0.1 metric tons of carbon annually," noted Nye's guest, Dr. Travis Rieder. "How many does the average American emit? Sixteen metric tons."
Rieder said Americans having an average of two children are "waaaay more problematic" than Nigerians having seven when it comes to preventing global warming.
"Should we have policies that penalize people for having extra kids in the developed world?" Nye asked.
“I do think we should at least consider it," Rieder said.
Nye pushed him even further.
"Well, ‘at least consider it' is like, ‘do it,'" he opined.
The other two guests pushed back, however, pointing out that what Nye and Rieder were proposing came dangerously close to the eugenics policies of America's past, which ending up disproportionately targeting poor women and minorities.

Bill Nye has long been off my kid’s watching list; now, if we could get anything associated with him kicked out of our schools.

True but the language he uses in his shows when discussing solutions to so called climate change teeter on Nazism.
In fact Bill Nye has advocated that those who question the validity of global warming be imprisoned simply for questioning sloppy methods and speculation from scientists and unsubstantiated claims they make while wanting to punish parents who choose to have big families even though no law or sanction existed on the books at the time they had these children.
That in of itself is fascism
His attacks on so called climate change deniers are even worse than alleged crimes committed by the church against thinkers and scientists like Galileo that liberals bring up.
In fact it takes more faith to believe in things like socialism, evolution and man made climate change than it does to have faith in God.

I don't emit any metric tons of carbon. I don't do anything using the Metric System.
How you even noticed how tyrants and despots of all types seem to prefer the Metric System?

Ridiculous arrogance, even for a "scientist," or whatever he is. I have a sneaking suspicion he won't enjoy meeting the Good Lord some day nearly as much as I will. That's too bad, because I'll bet there's a lot Mr. deNYEr would find pretty fascinating to learn from the original Science Guy, Great Physician, Master Planner, etc.

I’m neither a tyrant nor a despot but I prefer the Metric System (Systeme Internationale). The United States remains the only country hanging on to an ancient system of measurement.
In that case, I’m SURE that Bill Nye would support a law prohibiting anchor babies from becoming automatic citizens and getting all sorts of government benefits for their illegal alien parents...since, you know, that would discourage illegals from coming over here and having multiple babies to increase their government benefits.
Bill Nye WOULD support this, right?
