Nashville is a long way from music of our Country. It is a catchment for those who couldn’t “make it” in NY and LA, and that is saying something. And a place constantly looking for a real male country act. They’ve had them and rejected them in bigger venues: acts like Josh Turner. A lot has gone down hill since Johnny Cash died, and of course Chet Atkins. Been tough on the country males, the real ones.I mean really— Justin Timberlake, the lone supposed survivor “man” from the all boy band promoter to “country” star. There is a not so underground of these fakes. Hard to break them and get rid of them. CMA is a joke.
NRA hosts and has hosted major country acts, regularly- so naturally the queer lefties would not like that.
