The way the troops are on high alert in the north means this could happen any day now.

Since 1967 went way better than 1973 (proactive vs. reactive), I’d imagine the next war will be another preemptive measure by the IDF.

Never underestimate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, or the IDF! They will whoop ass!

Preemptive indeed

How about a dose of foreign policy heresy

Maybe they should accept Assad as Syria’s leader, Russia as a permanent tenant at Tartus, and work out ways to accommodate Syria’s national security interests that supplant Assad’s need to rely on Iran instead of constantly justifying his need for more weapons and more Russians and Iranians

Maybe Syria and Israel should both wise up and stop being patsies for the Saudis who control US foreign policy and proxies for the neocons like McCain and Graham who can’t let the Russian-Cold War end

Except this time their enemies will have Russian missile battery cover: interlinked S-400s, S-300s and S-200s to contend with. Then there are the mass produced Iranian drone bombs, T-90 tanks among other weapons SAA and Iranian forces will have at their disposal, plus unlike the other wars, the enemy will be battle hardened and advance under hail of thousands of Hezbollah missiles.

The IDF may not have an easy time and it is possible they will not prevail to the extent of previous battles.
