Washington Post correspondent Anne Gearan must think that President Donald Trump is in possession of amazing predictive powers. Trump has been talking about renegotiating a new NAFTA deal since the time when he was a candidate for president and Gearan thinks that his real purpose of that deal was to change the subject from Senator John McCain soon after his passing in 2018. Yes, Gearan actually made this claim about the purpose of the new NAFTA deal on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports on Monday:

Same thing a democrat does, except they manufacture a crisis. Because they don’t know how to do anything that benefits the country.

ahhh…….Trump engaged in a conspiracy with those swarthy people to our south that he loathes and hates in order to deny John McCain his due adulation.

How sinister! /SARC

Of course no proof offered for this assertion, no source, other than Anne Gearan's butt.

By the way, I never heard of Anne Gearan before.

McCain’s dead and they’re running out of issues to bash Trump.

Trump is winning and they can’t stand it.

I’m just guessing, but the media is probably getting a lot of blowback from the public for using the death of a senator as a battering ram against President Trump.

And, against the constant liberal/media “hailing” or McCain as a “hero”, when he wasn’t.

Their gushing over about McCain has set social media afire with the truth about “Songbird” McCain, and his many, negative, traits.

He was a traitor to his party, and some say, to his country.

I would think that the media would like to get off the McCain page as soon as they can, and go back to what they do best...LIE.

Nobody, except the press, cares about McCain.

His Telecommunications Act of 1996 was one of the most corrupt pieces of legislation in US history. It enriched them beyond their wildest dreams and created a near-monopoly where 3 companies own 95% of all broadcast media.

They have reasons to worship him.

McCain will be forgotten in a week.

People have nothing good to say about politicians.

And McCain? He was the quintessential Washington career politician.

Good riddance.

Why are the press even working? Don’t they know that McCain died recently? They should be in mourning and not pursuing insignificant things like work. Have they no shame.

Well, let’s just turn this another ninety degrees or so, the death of McCain took a lot of steam out of the Michael Cohen/Lanny Davis “revelations” about Team Trump’s collusion with Russian agents.

And now NAFTA reboot with Mexico makes John McCain’s funeral irrelevant? In the long run, which one is going to mean more to the future of the US?

Why would anyone who is the patriot want to distract from McCain’s dad? He was the enemy within the gate and I’m happy that he is gone. I feel bad for his family but that POS Worked hard to steal my freedoms, take the food away from my children, and betrayed every principle he claims to support..
