Democrats coordinated and planned over the long holiday weekend to obnoxiously interrupt the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The hearing started Tuesday morning and will likely run through the end of the week.
Right from the start, Democrat members of the Senate Judiciary Committee repeatedly spoke out of order, personally attacked Chairman Chuck Grassley and demanded the hearing be adjourned. Cortney has the details covered here.

The Democrats are failing.
Kavanaugh doesn’t look or sound like Bork.
He looks and sounds like someone from Middle America.
It’s tough to fight a nice guy, though they will try.
Maybe they will find something compromising in all those documents they’ve demanded to see, but I doubt it.
At the end of the day, Kavanaugh will be confirmed.
They’ve become their craziest supporters
In the current 52R-48D Senate, the Judiciary Committee is proportionally 10R-9D. If the Republicans pick up a few seats from the Democrats, )even as many as 5), the Democrats might lose 2 seats on the Judiciary Committee, making it 12R-7D, or maybe even 13R-6D.
With that kind of skew, the Democrats would be powerless to even make a show in the next Congress when RBG's replacement might come up.

The democrats were really disgusting during the opening of this hearing. Kamala Harris, Booker, Hirono, and Blumenthal were just slobs. They are trying to stop the hearing and keep Kavanaugh from being confirmed based soley on the fact that he will likely stick to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Democrats can’t have that. They want to make it up as they go based on gushy feelings. They are also terrified that they may lose the Roe vs Wade ruling, their big vote getter.
The Dems want some one who will promote their totalitarianistic agenda.
As the old law adage goes regarding cases...
If the law is on your side, pound the law.
If the facts are on your side, pound the facts.
If neither the law nor the facts are on your side, pound the table.
Today was the Dems pounding the table. They cant stop Kavanaugh from being confirmed. So all they can do is resort fo circus antics.

I watched some of the clips on GP earlier and was hoping Grassley would say “What difference does it make, none of you are going to vote yes?”
Not sure if it was Grassley, but that was mentioned by an R senator. Grassley pointed out that none of them (or staffers) had read a server full of documents that were provided.
Can you imagine the Republicans doing anything like this when Kagan or Sotomeyer were nominated? Democrats are slobs!
The dems have been doing this sh!tshow since bork...Why weren’t there more police, less yelling and more tasering occurring? Why didn’t Grassley have the dem aholes removed from the proceedings? Why are the repubs letting the dems get away with this dog and pony show ? /rhet
Grassley should have tasered protesters and the Demonicrat senators who disrupted the hearing and had them dragged out of the hearing room.
Are the Democrats using Russian style communist tactics to disrupt the Kananaugh hearings? The Democrats come across as rude and crude thugs, like they do not really belong in this country.
They have one set up after another. The Democrats are going all out, shedding any hint of decorum or order or intelligent questioning. Why are they wearing suits? Where is the push back by the Republicans? This whole thing is very embarrassing.
They don’t care about the documents because there’s nothing incriminating in them.
The Democrats just want to drag things out, Grassley should keep it short and sweet and schedule a floor vote for the end of the week.
Kavanaugh is a good man who should be seated on the Supreme Court pronto.
Watching part of this today made me wonder how many were triggered by the memory of the hearing for Justice Thomas.
Kavanaugh might be sitting there thinking, if a good man like Clarence Thomas had to endure this nonsense, who am I to complain.
The democrats come across so poorly when history reflects the qualities later confirmed by a sitting justice having endured this process. I was glad when the memory of Judge Bork came up. He was denied.
