Believe which version you want....
Rawlings told reporters Saturday afternoon that Guyger was able to get inside
Jeans apartment because the door was open. But that claim was contradicted
Saturday evening by a FOX 4 reporter who cited police as saying Guyger
was on the wrong floor and the door was closed.
Her key didnt work in the door, Steve Eager wrote. Shooting happened
shortly after resident opened his own door.
What would happen if a normal citizen did this. Did she notice that the furniture was not herse?
I thought the dumbass had been drinking? You mean she was sober? Wow, that’s affirmative action for you. I can hardly wait for the next batch of air traffic controllers.
I don’t understand, though, did she think she left her door unlocked? Or did she think someone had broken in and left it unlocked? Why didn’t she yell “Police!” as she entered or called for another officer first? This is stupidity on a whole new level.
So much does not pass the smell test. I read on another site that this is an area with an above average crime rate so I have trouble believing Botham left his door open with all his lights off.
If she walked in and heard someone wouldn’t it be better to run out of the apartment?
Was she shooting in the dark? If not and she turned on the lights didn’t she notice the furniture was not her’s?
He had a red mate in front of his apartment. She did not. The apartment number was lighted next to the door.
She must have been drunk, high or distracted; talking on her Bluetooth cell phone.
Police officer doesnt notice red door mat at her door that wasnt there before? And according to lock demonstrations Ive seen, it flashes red if wrong key fob is inserted. Plus it was dark yet she managed to shoot him twice in chest? Too bad she wasnt as accurate noticing that door mat.
Levels could be painted different colors. At least a color stripe or colored markers or colored numbers for each level.
I wonder if she was texting while she parked and texting as she walked to her apartment.
It never takes long for the blue wall to come up with lame excuses.
Lock your doors.
It would be interesting if any of the residents come forward to say if they’ve ever gone to the wrong door. That should be something her attorney should investigate.
Needless to say the slaughter of a White elderly man and his wife in North Carolina, Gary and Jackie Skelton, by 3 negroes won't get much play.
I wish someone prominent (DJT?) would just come out and tell the truth about interracial violence.
Manslaughter? If a citizen did the same the charge would be murder.
Potential (but far from certain) sequence:
Guyger is impaired for whatever reason (extreme fatigue, meds, lack of meds, etc.), parks on wrong floor and goes to wrong apt.
Does not notice mat or apt. #, tries key - doesn’t work.
Then Guyger discovers door is very slightly ajar, becomes suspicious & takes it upon herself to investigate possible break-in of what she still thinks is her apartment. Draws gun & enters.
Victim appears, startling her (remember, she’s not firing on all cylinders) and she plugs him.
Yes, I know - there are many things in this scenario that “should not happen” because Guyger is “supposed to be a professional”.
I’ll also add — slight possibility Guyger has had trouble with a boyfriend, stalker, etc. The latter I include because in some of the pics she comes off as attractive: Fit, blonde, nice smile / moderately pretty face —at least as attractive as many other women who attract killer creeps (per my wife often watching “Dateline” and such). Anyway, such trouble would “enhance” a door she thinks is hers, ajar.
This is pure speculation, of course!
Like I said in another thread. My friend used to live there. He said the apartments all have lit numbers next to the door, and the electronic door locks lock automatically.
Note to self: Get new mat that says “Hey Lady! This ain’t your apartment!”
Years ago my husband and I woke to our dog going nuts. A woman had walked into our house, her sister in law lived next door to us and she was picking up her kids. Our house and her sister-in-laws looked nothing alike, our yards looked nothing alike. She was distracted by something I guess but it was long before cell phones and other devices. My husband got up armed to go see what the commotion was, but he is a careful sort so no shooting. Small town, no one locked their doors back then either.
So who was yelling “open up” then?
Sounds like she shot the guy who lives in the apt above her apt.
