"By the end of this week, we will deploy over 5,200 soldiers to the Southwest Border," as part of Operation Faithful Patriot, Air Force Gen. Terrence J. O'Shaughnessy, head of the U.S. Northern Command, told a news conference on Monday.
"That is just the start of this operation. We'll continue to adjust the numbers and inform you of those."
The 5,200 active duty troops are in addition to the 2,092 National Guard troops deployed earlier this year. The soldiers will "harden the points of entry and address key gaps in areas around the points of entry."
>>Theyll just throw bodies over it, and climb over the bodies.<<
Someone posted on another thread that the Chicoms actually did this.
Amazing how so many of us think alike on this subject.
What do you do with concertina when you are finished with it? How do you take it up?
>>In Vietnam, two of us in an hour would set up a field camp with three rows of concertina wire surrounding out combat engineer platoon large enough to protect men, tents, vehicles, and equipment with a fire zone to ward off attackers. The wire goes down fast.<<
I have stressed this on other threads, which is why I question what the reasons are that the wire installation was not started a long time ago. Was it intentional obstruction or simply ignorance?
I just love the Army Field Manual.

I think it's because they don't know exactly where they are going to go yet.
I hadn’t heard of that... but it doesn’t surprise me.
Needs 50 gallon drums with soap and mogas mixed, and igniters, THEN we can cook with gas, literally.

Thank you for your service.
A few heavy boards, and they’ll just walk across.
U.S. Military Sending Miles and Miles of Concertina Wire to SW Border
