The House race for California's 39th district has been called for Democrat Gil Cisneros over Young Kim, who was vying to become the first Korean-American woman in Congress and Republicans' last hope to keep a seat in Orange County. It is the 39th House seat that Democrats flipped this year. The big picture: Democrats dominated congressional races in the state this year, flipping six seats in southern California — four of them in traditionally red Orange County. The seat had been held by Republican Ed Royce for 13 terms.

I am half-Korean, a Californian, and sad for Young Kim — it’d be nice if some decent Latina/o conservatives would also step up to the plate in the future.

Why do I get the feeling that we “Won” the election 13-10 (football terms) and then the crooked refs gave the democrats a free TD and then we lost 13-17.
I live in this district and I highly doubt that he won fair and square.
In June we recalled the Democrat assemblyman who raised our taxes by 20%.
Also Ed Royce never had any problems winning this seat.

Let’s face it - the only reason the Dems will control the House is because of illegal aliens distorting apportionment and illegally voting.
Reminds me of the episode of Good Times, the one called “Getting Up The Rent” where Florida would tell Junior “I want the food BOUGHT not “FOUND” meaning stolen..we all know what it means when Dems “Find” votes
I live in SW Oregon.
Be cautious, the Left has completely taken over Oregon. We’re sure to see gun bans next year and a massive increase in taxes, which are already extremely high.
Not to mention the marijuana industry which is destroying local farmlands and is driving up housing prices like crazy...if you’re looking to rent you will NOT find a house worthy of renting without paying double what it was par year.
My advice: move to Idaho instead. Oregon as we’ve know it is dead...

KIm Young had a substantial lead at poll closings from each area of her 3 counties, so the after hours loss defies logic. Her opponent is a proven slime/huge dem contributor who is suspected of buying off key peeps just as he’d done for years. This one will be investigated.
Orange County has eleven cities and County Board of Supervisors (all Republicans) who oppose the sanctuary state laws in California. Now they will be represented by Congressmen who support sanctuary state laws.
For decades conservatives sat and did nothing of substance except (badly) run and watch elections.
They did nothing but look at elections while the left gained control of the unions in the early 20th century. They did nothing but watch elections while the left infiltrated and gained control of Hollywood the media, universities and colleges in the 50s and 60s. They did nothing but watch elections while the left gained control of primary education and the bureaucracy in the 70s and 80s. They didn’t lift a finger to bring asians over to their side in the 90s or early 2000s and didn’t put forth any significant resistance to the Left taking control of the military leadership and Corporate America during this time. They’re not doing anything while the Left infiltrates and takes over the Churches today finishing off the last major nonexplictly political institution that used to be on their side.
Conservatives and America are reaping exactly what they’ve sown.
A significant number of republican voters are idiots. That's why we can't take control of the party even though 80% of republicans support the MAGA agenda over the establishment. Unless the establish candidate completely self destructs, like Jeff Flake, by being honest about their unpopular agenda, they are still able to manipulate enough republicans voters to stay in power. That's exactly what Lindsey Graham has done. We wouldn't stand a chance of defeating him in a primary right now. The establishment is fighting for their survival, but you would think we were the ones who only had 20% of the base.
I think a lot of Trump voters that supported Obama previously are unreliable, and out of touch. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them would vote for Trump and Obama if they were both on the ballot in different races.
I think it’s the culmination of fifty years of ceding the education realm and media too communists.
Cisneros claim to fame is that he won 300 million in the lottery and now he has bought a congressional seat.
I guess its a good investment for him.
