If thousands of unjustly sentenced inmates are actually in federal prison, why hasn't Trump already pardoned them or commuted their sentence?

Answer....

Because Trump does not want to be held personally responsible when these guys start committing new crimes.

So, thanks to Jared, both political parties support this jail break, the MSM will not report any of the new crimes, no one will be blamed for anything, and thousands of former-Democrats will have their voting rights restored.

It's not a "jail break". It allows judges more leeway. It lowers the life sentence for 3 strikes to 25 years. It is not retroactive.

This "justice reform" seems to have a lot of Trump supporters wondering what the hell he's doing. Between the wall not being built and his supporters being censored and deplatformed, it seems like he doesn't want a second term.

Doesn’t sound good. Trump must have misheard “Lock her up” at the rallies to mean “Let them go”.

What “rare victory”? Kushner is kicking ass all over the globe.

I am all for criminal justice reform. I may be in the minority of Freepers but stand with Trump and Kushner. We’re too hard on crimes like drugs (willing seller and buyer, addiction notwithsstanding) and too soft on violent crime. The real problem is money, as ever. Take the money out of drugs and the murder rate and robbery/burglary rates will plummet. Prisons have become schools for small time crooks to learn big time crime.

We have 3 tiers of justice, one for the regular guy, one for the rich, and the powerful are above it all committing crimes with glee. I’ve lost all respect, and I know being a cop is a tough, underpaid, underappreciated job. Want cops and the law to be respected? Then change the laws. Don’t use cops for revenue enhancement. Don’t fill prisons with the non-violent. Go after the people who are real threats to the life and safety of innocent people, and shake down people on parole and probation to make sure they stay on the straight and narrow. And stop letting the abuses of power at the top to go on without justice being served.
