IHOP is joining the mass of advertisers abandoning Fox News host Tucker Carlson's show after his controversial comments about immigration last week.
"At our core, we stand for welcoming folks from all backgrounds and beliefs into our restaurants and continually evaluate advertising to ensure it aligns with our values," IHOP said in a statement to Business Insider.
"In this case, we will no longer be advertising on this show."
At least 12 advertisers have stopped advertising on the show since last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter, whichfirst reported the news that IHOP was cutting ties with Tucker Carlson's show.
Last Thursday, Carlson said in a segment that the US needed more "scientists and engineers," as the country seeks to fill automated and tech-centered jobs.
"Instead we're getting waves of people with high school educations or less. Nice people, no one doubts that, but as an economic matter this is insane. It's indefensible, so no one even tries to defend it," he said.
"Instead our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this. We have a moral obligation to admit the world's poor, they tell us, even if it makes our country poorer and dirtier and more divided."

A far cry from the old Sambo's in downtown Los Angeles, where if you ordered coffee, you would never be able to empty your cup because as you were about to finish it, a waitress would always show up and give you a refill. The staff is like that at the coffee shop at the La Habra 300 Bowl bowling alley, where prices are quite reasonable.
Other local places where I go for breakfast include Arthur's Coffee Shop in La Habra, which claims to have "the best breakfast in Orange County," El Tepeyac Cafe in Boyle Heights for Mexican breakfasts, and the King Taco eatery in Pico Rivera for the best breakfast burrito in Southern California.
Think of it as a weight loss programme included at no extra cost!
IHOP lose my business when I found out they put pancake batter in their omelets.

From what I read, you are likely to get caught in a ghettopotamus brawl there. Same thing with some place called a Waffle house?
I have noticed that nearly every restaurant we visit, except maybe Cracker Barrel, is peopled with Hispanic/Latino cooks. Even some of the Chinese restaurants! I live in Oklahoma. Maybe it’s not that way everywhere.

IHOP makes cinnamon rolls into French Toast. It’s baked sugar with powdered sugar sprinkled on and liquid sugar poured over it. The only redemption is they have butter and bacon but there are thousands of breakfast places around.
I think people are missing the point. it’s not about ihop. it’s not really even about immigration. it’s about tucker carlson. he’s effective, and they’re trying to shut him up. they attacked his wife and family in their house last month, and now they’re attacking his livelihood.
tucker carlson scares the hell out of them. what we ought to be doing is figuring out exactly why, and doing more of it.
Time to eat less pancakes and buy more pillows...

I just sent them a blistering email. I hope their upper management chokes on their crappy food and that their cheap illegal immigrants break their ribs doing a Heimlich wrong.
I’d rather have a “Waffle House” waffle, than a IHOP pancake anyway.
IHOP is going down. Want Pan Cakes go to the waffle house. I always stopped there when on the road in the early a.m.. Coffee pan cakes and grits.

A very long time ago (early 70s) IHOP used to have some special corn pancakes, were kinda like the ones my mother used to make, but they had the addiion of creamstyle corn in them. They were very good. They quit making them long ago, and I quit going long ago.
