Self-described socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced on Twitter late Tuesday that she will join California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters on the influential House Financial Services Committee, which oversees Wall Street and the housing industry.

California Rep. Katie Porter, Michigan's Rashida Tlaib, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, and Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley have also reportedly been tapped for the committee by Democratic House leaders, and a vote finalizing their appointments is expected within days.

And congressional IQ is not cumulative. It's, rather, a nonlinear regression. Sorta like the curve as it falls off a high building.

After a few days, they will be unable to remember how to pee by themselves...

The thing to look for is how many members of the Progressive caucus wind up on each committee and how many of them Chair the committees.

on Pelosi’s last tenure as Speaker all House committees were chaired by members of the Progressive Caucus.
note that the Progressive Caucus is the caucus for the Socialist/Communists in Congress......at least for the ones that admit their political bent. I’m sure there are others that are still in the closet.......

“Well it seems that Ocasio-Cortez was smart enough to beat a long term Democrat who seemed like an easy win.”

Like any accident I ever studied, it was caused by multiple failures and coincidence. Joe Crawley took the primary for granted and didn’t bother to campaign or show up for debates. Crowley’s district had changed demographics during his tenure from white to Hispanic. If Joe was serious about maintaining the job he would have learned Spanish and made a lot of contacts inside the Hispanic demographic. If he did any of that, it wasn’t apparent. You would think that if all these old, white Democrats who repeat “demographics is destiny” and worked towards deleting whites, that they’d learn Spanish and buy a membership at a tanning salon. Also, AOC, to much of the voter public, is a breath of fresh air. It’s hard to find a Democrat that doesn’t smell like an elderly person. In addition, AOC had a dedicated cadre of like-minded socialists out beating the pavement for her. What did Joe have? Other than his sense of entitlement, I mean.

“Wonder how much damage they will do”

It depends on a number of factors, including how long they are there, what the other committee members do and how vocal or violent their supporters are. It is entirely possible that their communist supporters will threaten other committee members and, as a result, more ridiculous, economy destroying legislation will make it to the floor. Then, the entire House, Senate and the President must agree. So, in the short term, probably not a lot of damage. In the long term, it depends on how the next election redistributes our governing philosophy.

America is at most two elections away, at any given time, from being a Communist country. It took Russia about eighty years to begin undoing that mistake. But, look at them now. Their lot has hardly improved. It is much better that every generation of Americans fight hard to keep what we have, as it is easier and less bloody than losing it and trying to get it back. We have lost the first two battles, the education system and gay marriage. Gay marriage was never about gay marriage. If it was we would not have all the lawsuits against bakers and companies promoting wokeness. It was always about total nihilism.

The CIA fought international communism for decades, only to shepherd it into the U.S. Just for power?

“The CIA fought international communism for decades, only to shepherd it into the U.S. Just for power?”

Think of the FBI, CIA and NSA as America’s immune system. Think of a Democratic run administration as an alien virus that causes the immune system to attack the American body. Soon we get an autoimmune disease, like the IRS attacking conservative 501C3’s. Without constant maintenance and vigilance, any institution can become a bastion of the enemy. Think of France’s government facilitating the destruction of France by creating an influx of turd-world men who come there to live free off the French taxpayer so they can rape French women and burn French owned cars. This is what Democrats want for Americans.

Waters & AOC? The Media is thinking “Dream Team”. But I suspect sparks will fly between these 2 divas. AOC can’t shut-up. I suspect that she would be able to follow the basic rules of decorum which will be enforced (Hah!) by Waters.

Which, more often than not, is THE BEST result! The more the dominant D’s and RINO’S, within the present U.S. House of Representatives, do nothing, the better the results are for the majority of the U.S. population! It’s whether or not actual conservative R’s are able to, successfully, take over The U.S. House of Representatives, two years later, as well as dominate as much of U.S. politics AND judgeship’s as is possible that should be the main focus, now and beyond.

Depends on how many Bush-League Republicans are gotten rid of.
