No-Knock Houston Raid Inventory Raises Questons after 2 Killed, 4 Wounded

The Houston Police Department has released the inventory of items seized during the execution of the no-knock raid where 59-year-old Dennis Tuttle and his wife, 58-year-old Rhogena Nicholas were shot and killed. The raid occurred on January 28, 2019.

The married couple of 20 years died in a gun battle with police where four officers were wounded, and one was injured while taking cover.

The couple had no criminal records. They had occupied the house for 20 years. Rhogena was as a supporter of President Trump. Dennis was a Navy veteran.

The gun battle started when the police broke down their door and shot their dog. The wife, Rhogena, was unarmed when killed. Police claim she was going for a shotgun held by a wounded officer.

FYI anytime white powder is seized it has to be tested at a lab. Any competent inventory would list such substance as “white powder” rather than the suspected substance, pending lab results, which may not be available for months.

That white powder could be cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, or a host of other illegal substances or it could be baking soda, flour, sugar or a host of innocuous substances.

Uh huh, “brother-in-law.” With the magic “throw down” from the movies. And “all the cops have them.”

Did you report your imaginary cop “brother-in-law?”

Back in the 60’s, throw downs had the name of “nighthawk”

“They go to work looking to play soldier.”

And that is something every freedom loving American should be very worried about. The two cannot coexist in a free society.

True ....... called a ham sandwich. WAS common for narcotics interdiction work, not so much patrol officers . But a knife or cheap “saturday night special” was common ham sandwich for crusty old cop’s ........

They wonder why nobody likes them. Who would trust them reading stories like this? I don’t feel safe when they’re around.

Maybe he’s an apologist, of the mindset that the police can do no wrong.

Nobody? A majority of Americans would disagree with you. This sounds like an unfortunate incident, but in a nation of 320+ million people (of which roughly 1-1.5 million are LE of some type), there are millions of interactions between police and non-police citizens every single day. Only a tiny, tiny fraction are this negative.

I know one. He did turn out several in a Corrupt Department. They did hard time...

Not long after that while UC, he was ambushed and left for dead. He survived multiple gunshots at close range, did rehab and was on desk duty until they retired him because of his injuries and not being able to perform his duties.

To this day he believes others in the Department set him up for trying to clean up the Department.

“...Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo..”

Another gadfly liberal chief just like that jarf Scott Israel in Broward County. Truth be known most if not all big liberal cities have chiefs like this.
