Good question. Her policy papers are drafted by the advisers. That's pretty standard procedure in Washington. And they discuss the themes she's going to talk about.
I doubt there's any real "scripting." She's too much of a loose cannon, so often "off script" that it's hard to believe that one exists.
The staff must be used to her flightiness by now, and she probably has more input than the "puppet" theory would suggest.
Doubtless she does repeat what they tell her are important themes and points. But it looks like she adds a lot of weird stuff of her own.
He's connected with a larger group the Justice Democrats, which conducted auditions and selected OAC from 1000 applicants. I believe that Justice Democrats ran and won with three House members, all using the same formula of running against long term Dem incumbents in heavily Dem districts. Win the primary, win the seat.
It's similar to the Tea Party strategy of a few years ago, only it's all very top down. They raised about $2.5 M in for their candidates in the 2018 cycle. They are a PAC so there is a $5,000 limit, which about 75 people contributed $1,000 or more. (So, it looks like a well connected networking donation setup, like "bundling")

Pressley has a more conventional route to the office having worked for Joseph P. Kennedy II, and John F. Kerry in staff positions.
