Giuliani traveling to Ukraine to push for probes that could be 'very helpful' to Trump
The Hill ^ | 05/09/19 | Rachel Frazin

President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani says he plans to travel to Ukraine in the coming days in an attempt to push for investigations that he says could benefit Trump.

Giuliani told The New York Times in a Thursday interview that he plans to ask the country's president-elect to look into the origin of the federal Russia probe as well as former Vice President Joe Biden's past influence on the country.

"We’re not meddling in an election, we’re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do,” the Trump lawyer asserted.

“There’s nothing illegal about it,” he added. “Somebody could say it’s improper. And this isn’t foreign policy — I’m asking them to do an investigation that they’re doing already and that other people are telling them to stop. And I’m going to give them reasons why they shouldn’t stop it because that information will be very, very helpful to my client, and may turn out to be helpful to my government.”

The Times reported that the meeting's goal is to try to undermine the credibility of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe as well as the case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Trump's allies are also reportedly seeking information that could hurt Biden, who has led recent polls for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

Such inquiries were previously launched by the administration of current Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who lost a recent reelection bid to political newcomer Volodymyr Zelensky. The new Ukrainian president will take office June 3.

Giuliani last week called for an investigation into Biden for his previous actions in Ukraine after a New York Times report on the former vice president's dealings with the country.

In 2016, Biden reportedly threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees unless the country removed a top prosecutor, who was later voted out. Biden’s younger son, Hunter, was a board member of an energy company that the prosecutor had been looking into, according to the newspaper.

Giulani's trip comes after Mueller earlier this year concluded his probe into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election. Mueller did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired with Russia, though detailed extensive contacts between Trump associates and Russian figures.

Democrats are pushing for an unredacted version of the Mueller report, over which Trump has exerted executive privilege. The House Judiciary Committee voted this week to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over Mueller's unredacted report and the underlying evidence.

There are legitimate reasons to be at odds with Giuliani on certain issues.

But one can NEVER DENY his allegiance to the country OR Trump.

He is serving us until the end.

Maybe he’s not what he was even 10 years ago. He’s still twice as dogged and determined than 99 percent of those who are supposed to be on our side.

We folks of Italian descent are either your bitter enemy or Loyal to a FAULT.

Rudy is the second one to Trump. And I am glad.

Joe Biden put pressure on The Ukraine President that $1B US aid would be withheld if the lead prosecutor investigating his son, Huntr, was not fired. He was fired. Hillary’s campaign was colluding with the pro-Russia faction in Ukraine to find dirt on Mnuchen or any other Trump associates.

Then there are the deals that Hunter Biden did with China while travelling on Air Force 2 with Joe for official China business.

There is probably much more.

I could see doing this to go after Biden but otherwise I think it's a waste of time.

What needs to happen to change the entire game is for Barr to immediately charge Hillary Clinton with Obstruction of justice and charge her with multiple counts of violating the espionage act. No further investigations or delay of any kind should be needed to do this. Second is for Barr to immediately charge James Comey with leaking classified materiel, something he has openly admitted.

If Barr fails to do this now it's doubtful any meaningful prosecutions will ever happen and we can kiss the country goodbye. The excuse of waiting for the IG report is a joke. The IG report is not needed, it's not a criminal investigation and there is already more than enough evidence to charge both Comey and Clinton at this time. Charge them now then continue investigating the others.

I guarantee the whole democrat agenda will turn to unbelievable cooperation with the President the second Hillary and Comey are under indictment. The Dems know these to rats will sing like canaries if faced with serious prison time. It would bust this whole mess open overnight. Pelosi might even vote to fully fund the wall.

I got banned here once for simply pointing out that Giuliani would be much better than Juan Mcain. Ok. I probably wasn’t very nice about it. I didn’t like Juan in 2007. I hated him, actually. My very focused attacks on Juan got my 2001 account banned.

I was right and now we all know it. The posts and account were Viking kitty killed. Lol. Now I would get a high five. Funny. I will hit mittens harder soon. So I guess I may need yet another account.

I hope you are right but more than anything we need indictments now to stop the bleeding. Hillary and Comey are slam dunk cases and they both will sing. I see no reason not to charge them then keep investigating and go after Brennen, Clapper, paige, struck, etc.

Joe Biden's 2020 Ukrainian nightmare: A closed probe is revived
The Hill ^ | 5/01/19 | JOHN SOLOMON / FR Posted by Libloather

Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn’t resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about the time as vice president that he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor. In his own words, with video cameras rolling, Biden described how he threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,’” Biden recalled telling Poroshenko.

“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time,” Biden bragged on tape before tthe Council on Foreign Relations event, insisting that President Obama was in on the threat.

Interviews with a half-dozen senior Ukrainian officials confirm Biden’s account, though they claim the pressure was applied over several months in late 2015 and early 2016, not just six hours of one dramatic day. (Excerpt) Read more at thehill.com ...

2020 candidate "middle-class Joe Biden" asserts China is no threat to the US.

AND THIS IS WHY.

During the Obama Admin, then-VP Joe Biden took his chronically jobless son Hunter on an official trip to China.
China gave Hunter a billion dollar check for his "equity fund." Did "middle-class Joe" sell out the United States to China to set his son up in a billion dollar business?

"Middle-class Joe," as he refers to himself has done very well in Democrat politics. And what was Obama's cut of the Biden deals?

========================================

INSIDE THE SHADY PRIVATE EQUITY FUND OF BIDEN AND KERRY'S KIDS

EXCERPT--Peter Schweizer in his new book, “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends,” details a number of ethical violations on both sides of the political aisle. One example: the little-noticed private equity firm run by the sons of Democrats Joe Biden and John Kerry, as detailed in this exclusive first excerpt.

The two men became close while serving for several decades together in the US Senate. The two “often talked on matters of foreign policy,” says Jules Witcover in his Biden biography. So their sons going into business together in June 2009 was not exactly a bolt out of the blue. But with whom their sons cut lucrative deals while the elder two were steering the ship of state is more of a surprise.

What Hunter Biden, the son of America’s vice president, and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations (later to be secretary of state), were creating was an international private equity firm. It was anchored by the multi-million Heinz family alternative investment fund, Rosemont Capital. The new firm would be populated by political loyalists and positioned to strike profitable deals overseas with foreign governments and officials with whom the US government was negotiating.

Hunter Biden, Vice President Joe Biden’s youngest son, had gone through a series of jobs since graduating from Yale Law School in 1996, including the hedge-fund business. By the summer of 2009, the 39-year-old Hunter joined forces with the son of another powerful figure in American politics, Chris Heinz. Senator John Heinz of Pennsylvania had tragically died in a 1991 airplane crash when Chris was 18. Chris, his brothers, and his mother inherited a large chunk of the family’s vast ketchup fortune, including a network of investment funds and a Pennsylvania estate, among other properties. In May 1995, his mother, Teresa, married Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. That same year, Chris graduated from Yale, and then went on to get his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Joining them in the Rosemont venture was Devon Archer, a longtime Heinz and Kerry friend. The three friends established a series of related LLCs. The trunk of the tree was Rosemont Capital, the alternative investment fund of the Heinz Family Office. Rosemont Farm is the name of the Heinz family’s 90-acre estate outside Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. The small fund grew quickly. According to an email revealed as part of a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation, Rosemont described themselves as “a $2.4 billion private equity firm co-owned by Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz,” with Devon Archer as “Managing Partner.”The partners attached several branches to the Rosemont Capital trunk, including Rosemont Seneca Partners, LLC, Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners, and Rosemont Realty. Of the various deals in which these Rosemont entities were involved, one of the largest and most troubling concerns was Rosemont Seneca Partners.

Rather than set up shop in New York City, the financial capital of the world, Rosemont Seneca leased space in Washington, DC. They occupied an all-brick building on Wisconsin Avenue, the main thoroughfare of exclusive Georgetown. Their offices would be less than a mile from John and Teresa Kerry’s 23-room Georgetown mansion, and just two miles from both Joe Biden’s office in the White House and his residence at the Naval Observatory. In short, the Chinese government was literally funding a business that it co-owned along with the sons of two of America’s most powerful decision makers.

These dual announcements raise more questions than they answer. The prominence of the individuals involved — Hunter Biden is the vice president’s son, while Devon Archer was a major bundler for John Kerry and also his stepson’s college roommate

Obama White House counsel Gregory Craig

“Kostiantyn Kulyk, deputy head of Ukraine’s prosecutor general’s international affairs office, said that investigators had evidence that a number of Western figures, such as Obama White House counsel Gregory Craig, also received money from the Party of Regions, the party of ousted Ukranian President Viktor Yanukovych, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Craig was recently indicted for allegedly lying about his dealings with Ukraine.”
