As a grown adult, for 1,200 bucks a month, you can willingly pay to live in a bunk bed unit with multiple other people in your room where you are provided with ramen noodles, not allowed to have guests over, must be in bed by 10:00 PM at night, and, basically, give up your privacy. Oh yeah, also the founder of this novel idea out of San Francisco based it off of communism. Why would anybody do this? Well, the mainly 20-somethings who choose to do so in the Golden Gate City say they have no other choice because of the progressive city's rising cost of living. They could of course, simply not vote Democratic to help address the issue.

They may not be livin’ the dream, but I bet they all feel sophisticated because they live in SF.
Well, you can rent a house for $4000 a month, and split it between 5 people, that's $800 a month. Or, just go south 10 miles and rent much cheaper in the suburbs. My daughter and her family are renting a home in So. SF for $3000 a month, complete with garage and back yard, and it's one block from BART and bus transportation. SF is expensive, but less so the further out you go.

Heck, for $4800 a month I can get a deluxe loft apartment with a river view a few blocks from downtown Chicago in one of the swankier parts of town. Course I would have to watch out for those MAGA hat wearing racists prowling about at 3 AM near the Subway.

Speaking of Communism, those who have access to Amazon Prime should take a glance at the series “Comrade Detective”. It was shown in Romania in 1980 as a anti Capitalist tv show, but when watching, you see the humor and anti Communist hints. The premise is explained at the very beginning, showing how it was recovered and made in English language.
One scene as an example showed a “Crime Board” with pictures of possible suspects in the murder of a police officer all connected with lines and then at the very top they put a picture of Ronald Reagan.
They need to seize the homes of the SF tech moguls and break them up into multiple living spaces for the people. Its’ been done before:

You would think they would get a clue from the decaying state of the outrageously overpriced city they live in, that the people running the place are corrupt and inept.
Add to this the powers that be, (with help from social media Google exc...) try to forcefully silence any other voices/ideas- That should tell the average person with 1/2 a brain cell, that these politicians don't give a rat's a$$ about the people or the city.
Their ideas are worthless and always end in disaster. They can't stand up to scrutiny or debate.

I traveled to a communist country once. Whole families were living in one room. People knew I was an American, and readily invited me into their homes whenever they saw me walking down the street. Although, I discovered it wasn’t hospitality they had in mind. Their hope was that I might see something they could sell me. I quickly learned not to fix my gaze on anything in particular, even for the shortest time. If I did, and even if were a framed picture of their parents, they would relentlessly offer to sell it to me.
They consider that a good place to live? Why not refurbish Alcatraz?
