Alexander Vindman says he got abrasive with Jim Jordan for not referring to him with his full military title because of what people were saying about him on Twitter pic.twitter.com/4ljH3IJUkx

Chow Thief Vindman says he rank-checked Nunes because people were being mean to him on Twitter
During his testimony at the House Intelligence Committee, Vindman ranked checked a member of Congress. Rank checking is when an officer demands you call them by their military title, and its seen as uncouth when dealing with civilians.
Special Forces veteran Tim Kennedy found this Vindmans checking to be a bad look, as did nearly every other veteran who expressed their embarrassment over Vindman.
Rank checking civilians is a bad look
Correcting a civilian about how to be a addressed is a for sure way to make everyone in the military think you are a douche bag. https://t.co/uclV6B7VnG

Where is Vindmans Bronze Star?
A field grade special operations soldier asked me why Lindman didnt have a Bronze Star. Officers who serve in a command position are usually given a Bronze Star for meritorious service.
The process of awarding officers a Bronze Star has recently become a controversial one, with many enlisted men viewing the practice as unfair, especially when awarded to officers who werent under active enemy fire.
At the time of VIndmans command, the practice was still common, and Vindman should have a Bronze Star.
This is seen as a red flag to senior officers.

As did I. Those who act like this might as well have clown costumes on because that's how obvious they are.
“Vindmans in waaaay over his head - but hes seems like a basically decent person.”
Maybe if he was a civilian. He is directly under Military command which is a different world altogether and he has violated about 4 codes of the UCMJ with what he did and is doing here.
Have to disagree, respectfully. Vindman is a wannabe of the worst order. Parading around like a combat hero in his dress blues. Most in the military know that a Ltc in the Army has little if any sway. Especially one that wears the CIB and Purple Heart without a day in combat. The lack of at least a Bronze Star is very telling. I don't have access to his 201 file but I am guessing he was a "Staff Officer", more than likely an S-2 for some infantry unit in the Mid-East.
Nothing worse than a REMF WANNABE. Back in the day (right after Vietnam) you could pick em out very easily at Bar's telling everyone their heroic combat stories. I have been smelling them out for 45+ years. Makes one want to puke.
Of course this is just my opinion. Obviously shared by many other current Active Duty Officer's.
I read about him on “Amazing Polly” on youtube. It seems that Vindman is CIA.
Remember how John Kerry went to Vietnam for a few months, got a minor injury and applied for a purple heart which he used to jump start his political career.
You will address me as Lieutenant Colonel Chubsy-Ubsy!!
Thanks for this because I did NOT know that made a person a full douchebag. Makes sense. Of course Vindman could expect that of a fellow military man, but shows he is even more of a douche than I thought.
“..which Im afraid most young people today do not understand...”
They don’t understand it because they’re not TAUGHT it.
This is a vastly different - and NOT better - time we live in right now.
Several freepers have made excellent points correcting my 'basically decent' comment... and within the role of the job he was suppose to do - all of you are right. But you ImpBill made the best case...
He is correct about that.
Really? Douche is the word that came to mind listening to him. He sounded like a child who was invited to the grown up parties.
A lot of the State Dept/NSC people sound like horrible people to work with.
Thank you. High Praise indeed coming from another early member of FreeRepublic.
