I am so sick of Bush-league RINOs like Peggy. They ostentatiously have to remind everyone that they are not “extreme” and are capable of seeing the other side, even to the point of betraying their own side. ‘RATS NEVER DO THAT.
What case? That Adam Schiff is a lying political opportunist? That 0bama administration officials were misusing their offices for political sabotage? That Ukraine is corrupt and that the Bidens were involved in their corruption?
Almost everything in the impeachment hearings this week fleshed out and backed up the charge that President Trump muscled Ukraine for political gain.
That statement is false.
These are the same folks who claimed that the Mueller Report definitely, absolutely proved that Trump collided with Russia and obstructed the investigation.
They live in an Escher painting, where every door and stairwell goes nowhere and leads back to same spot.

Yes, I know she was a speechwriter in the Reagan and Bush I administration (she penned the “thousand points of light” swill). But I thought she had fallen out of favor. I guess I’m thinking of someone else.
I’ll say this for her, though: She does write well, from a literary standpoint, She has a rather fluidic style that reads well. I disagree with her on myriad subjects, but she is generally a pleasant read.

Trump denied a quid pro quo and he denied bribery. He’s on the record as saying the only thing he wanted was for Ukraine to enforce its own laws.
Exactly what you would expect an innocent man to say. If the Democrats had him confessing, they would have got him cold.
Bad guys confessing happens only in the movies.
The Rats are hoping that the fact that you can’t prove a negative, works in their favor.
In other words, Guilty Until Proven Innocent.
But you guys all keep letting the bad guys define "guilt".
HE DID IT. He did what they say. They will eventually prove it to the satisfaction of 20 GOP Senators, which is all that matters.
Except for the main thing that matters, which is, it wasn't wrong, it certainly wasn't a crime, and removing a President for something they all do and are right to do will change the US political system forever, making Presidents serve at the pleasure of Congress.
THAT IS. A VERY BAD IDEA.
