Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is facing criticism online from some members of the LGBTQ+ community and gay rights advocates after images of the South Bend, Ind., mayor volunteering with the Salvation Army resurfaced online Tuesday.
LGBTQ+ publication Out published a story Tuesday with some of the critical tweets, which spurred more pushback from some activists who called out the Democrat for volunteering with an organization that has a history of opposing gay rights.
I know the photos are two years old, but still, I can't help but wonder if Mayor Pete just looks at what LGBTQ activists have been working on for years and then chooses to spite it (e.g. Salvation Army, Chick-fil-A, queer media in general, etc.), tweeted Zach Ford, press secretary for the Alliance for Justice, with a link to the Out story.

This was joked about by some of my Facebook buddies - that the LGBQ crowd was going to get him for that - but I didn’t think it would be this quick. WOW. Hilarious.
Wouldn’t it be nice if ONE TIME just ONE DEM did the right thing and told them to go to hell?
Especially a “married” guy.
I can’t even believe the things i’m typing in 2019 America.
The real problem, from the article, is that they wouldn’t let men pretending to be women into the shelter. Probably denied them from going into the women’s side:
“NBC News notes that several homeless transgender women across the country have reported that the organization has denied them shelter,”
Starting a pool for how long until the Salvation Army relents and goes full sodomite.
It’s lovely to see liberals eating their own.
They are so confused, with so little positive direction, that they will be very easy to beat.
This is what happens when you care about puny ‘feel-y’ things and possess no solid, authentic guiding Principles.
Those degenerates are never satisfied.
It would not surprise me.
I just donated today to the Salvation Army.
Getting ready to cut a check to the Salvation Army. Will have to up the amount.
Ball wringer. Ouch.
Guess Mayor Pete just isn’t gay enough.
Ha haaa!!! The LGBTQFUBAR community is all puckered up.
The Salvation Army is not only one of the better charities, it is also a church. So now they are starting to go after the church.
It would be nice if he were the one to stand up to them, he being one of there own. I won’t hold my breath, though.
HOW DARE HE!!!!
What kind of a society considers them the bad guys?
Liberal idiots consider them bad guys. Their crime against humanity, is that they aren’t “with it” on all this transsexual business.
To the liberal, whatever humanitarian work you do, is worthless unless you are liberal.
Indeed it is. I used to go to Bible study at our local Sally Ann. And sometimes to Sunday services. It is an offshoot of Methodism. One thing that is guaranteed when you go to Salvation Army services is GOOD traditional music. They often have a small brass ensemble at worship too.
I highly recommend attending a Salvation Army Sunday service, at least once, just for the experience.
I am shocked that anyone would harbor hatred for the Salvation Army. Its history goes back 150 years. Its founder was William Booth an amazing man with a very interesting biography. He worked with the most miserable souls in 19th century London. The Salvation Army is one of the greatest humanitarian organizations in the whole world.
Nationally 82 cents per dollar donated goes directly to the needy...and some local Corps have even lower overhead.
The charity is almost without parallel.
However, I cannot in good conscience call a religious organization which disavows Baptism and the Lord’s Supper a Church.
