The nation’s illegal and legal immigration system will help shift 26 congressional seats, primarily from red states, and redistribute them to mostly blue states next year, according to new analysis.
Every year, the United States imports about 1.2 million legal immigrants who largely arrive to reunite with foreign relatives already in the country. This level of annual legal immigration is in addition to the hundreds of thousands of foreign workers who arrive on work visas every year and nearly a million illegal aliens who successfully enter the U.S.
Research by the Center for Immigration Studies’ Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler finds that annual illegal and legal immigration to the U.S. will redistribute political power in the form of 26 House seats away from a number of red states and towards massively populated blue states like California and New York.
“To put this number in perspective, changing the party of 21 members of the current Congress would flip the majority in the U.S. House,” Camarota and Zeigler note.

Ohio, a swing state that voted for President Trump in 2016, will get three fewer congressional seats in 2020 due to mass immigration in other states. Michigan and Pennsylvania, also states that voted for Trump in 2016, will each have two fewer congressional seats. Wisconsin, a Trump-supporting swing state, will have its congressional seats cut by at least one.
Red states such as Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and West Virginia, Camarota and Zeigler predict, will all get one less congressional seat in 2020. The census is being conducted NEXT year. Reapportionment can only happen for the 2022 midterms. DUH

What can I say without cursing? I go off on this even with those on our “side” and they just get tired of my “rants”.”We” just don’t give a f*ck anymore an/or just get fatigued as the left keeps pushing. America is turning back into a colony and a sh*thole.
During the Trump roundup this should be re-done.Check the precinct list of registered voters where these people resided. If they’re on that list, Federal crime, charge them and those that enabled them to vote knowing they were illegals. If enough noise is made it should discourage illegals still here from voting. Besides determining how they got a drivers license. Show how much it’s costing taxpayers of that state. Also point out increased premiums on drivers insurance rates. As well as demonstrate how that areas ,local ,state and federal taxes are increased by diverting educational, medical, food and housing allocations to meet illegal’s needs at citizen expense.

Someone is really jumping the shark on this one. The census will not be completed in time for the 2020 election. Even if it was the states will need to redraw district lines, (after hearings in the state’s legislatures), to accommodate the additions or subtraction of representatives, which requires the drawing of maps, voting on the maps and then defending the maps in court, (a new requirement these days if the maps are drawn by Republicans).
The earliest the changes will show up in state representation is 2021/22.

There’s almost as big of a “conventional wisdom” assumption that all immigrants are going to guarantee Democrat seats ten years from now as there was in early November 2016 that a wide majority of American electoral votes would go to Hillary Clinton. A lot can happen in ten years. It wasnt much longer than ten years ago when Trump was a Democrat and Mike Bloomburg a Republican.

That should have been pointed out in the first line. But the premise of the article is still valid.
The illegals may not be able to vote for house members, but their presence is still counted and contribute to redistricting. And while it won’t affect the elections in 2020, it will have an effect down the road.
This statement is idiotic on its face.
Between 2010 and 2019 the U.S. population grew from about 308 million to about 330 million. That's about a 7% growth rate over nine years.
In 2010 New York's population was about 19.4 million. In 2019 it hasn't even reached 19.5 million. How does New York gain even a single seat in this scenario, when every other projection I've seen indicates that it's likely to lose TWO seats?
The morons who authored this crap seem to think that when a state gets flooded with illegal aliens, nobody else leaves.

The census is the issue that leads to redistribution... Or, more precisely, the dilution of an American citizen's voice & vote and the grand theft of money to pay for the healthcare, education, car damage, drugs, & food for these criminal vermin invaders...
Thats not the only problem. Even if they never vote, they currently get counted by the census and increase the population in the Blue areas, shifting congressional seats in their direction.
We are bringing in over 1 million legal foreigners every year. Ninety plus percent of these people will never support anything but socialistic big government as they know nothing else. Next time you are at a major sporting event or even watch one on TV where there are 50,000 people in the stands just imagine 20 of those stadiums full of people. That’s how many come in legally every year. It’s insane and it’s cultural suicide. We need to cease ALL immigration for at least forty years and then and only then should we even consider letting anyone in and if we do it should be totally merit based and strictly limited to only a few thousand at the most. Short if this action the United States as we know it is doomed. There is no other outcome possible.

Even if it happens AFTER the 2020 census, they’re screwing with you. Each House district still has about 710,000 people in it and it’s not a given that those people who move to a blue state will not vote for Trump.
Talk about voter disenfranchising. This is the ultimate in cancelling our votes.
