Are Dems so worried by Trump they're willing to let Bloomberg buy the election?
CNN ^ | February 14, 2020 | Joe Lockhart

There are still obstacles ahead. Bloomberg has not participated in a single debate and has until this week largely avoided the scrutiny of the media and the other candidates. He's needed to prove he's more than an advertisement candidate, and can both deliver a punch on the stump and take one himself.

Advertising professionals can make anyone seem exciting and compelling; the normally staid Bloomberg will have to prove he's got some persuasive powers beyond the largesse of his checkbook.

The single-minded mission among Democrats partially explains why Joe Biden stayed on top of the Democratic field for so long. Now that he's faltered in two straight contests, Democrats increasingly are looking to Bloomberg as the solution to the problem they care about above all else—defeating Donald Trump. And they might be willing to give the previously thought "unelectable" Mike Bloomberg a long look for the Democratic nomination for President.

What was very unlikely in 2008 and 2016, is now looking like a real possibility. And Bloomberg is willing to see just how far a political candidate can get on a couple of billion dollars. And Democratic voters look willing to consider an unlikely candidate because he can do the thing that matters most to them. Win.

Yes, they are. How is Bloomberg gonna get past Bernie?

Are the Bernie Bros gonna watch it happen again?

Right now Bernie the Communist / Socialist is beating all the others in the Democrat Clown Show.

Along comes Shrimp Nazi Bloomberg.

I suspect the DNC convention will not go well this year.

Hillary will waddle in to save the day.

Well, just guessing, LOL. Hold on to your hats, FRiends.

Probably so ... given Dems willingness to do whatever it takes to get their favorite drug, Other People’s Money, Bloomberg is a useful idiot. Although it could be a loan, and he’ll be repaid in spades of illicit laundered foreign aid money if the Dems pull off a successful misrepresentation of the will of the voters.

They’re worried about Bernie. They have to stop him even if it means backing a midget for President.

They would make a pact with the devil in order to win.
Correction: Another pact with the devil.

I agree.

Many possible voters are so limited when it comes to morality that they could easily be persuaded to vote for Mikey for just a few bucks.

It's a sick country.

The wild card in all this are the BernieBots. They are a significant chunk of the Democrat electorate. And they won’t take kindly to Bloomberg buying the nomination.

Little Michael might buy the rat nomination but only the media think he can buy the election. ask president Perot and president Forbes about how enough money can buy an election.

The dems are well aware that NONE of their current crop of clowns can take on Trump, so they really are desperate enough to let Bloomberg buy his way to the nomination. All the dems see is dollar signs. They probably don’t think he can beat Trump, but they know they can get tons of money from him for their down-ballot candidates.

I like Trump’s description of him, “the tiny version of low energy Jeb.”

Trump will run rings around him and eat him alive.

Drop Bernie and the Dems don’t stand a chance. Project Veritas will be implemented and will make the 68 dem convention look like a picnic.

Joe Lockhart is shilling for one of Bloomberg’s opponents in the Democratic Party. Bloomberg won 3 mayoral elections in NYC. That’s a tougher political arena and a much more consequential position than any of his primary opponents has encountered. It’s what makes him a formidable opponent, if he becomes the Democratic nominee.

WHY NOT?

That is EXACTLY what the REPUBLICANS did with him in 2001 for the mayoralty in NYC.
