Trump’s approach to Russia is the same as his approach to China - he says nice things about their leaders, but squeezes their nuts until they turn blue in the face.
Because ultimately, Russia and China are two faces of the same coin - civilizations with world-conquering aspirations strangled in Europe (ex-Russia) alone by the devastation of WWII.
The entire Russia hoax is now intended to be a way to manipulate the President into “proving” he’s not favorable to the Russians. At least that’s the backup plan since they failed at removing him from office with it (or the Ukraine phone call). The whole thing is fake. It is a conspiracy theory, and too many Republicans are on record agreeing that the Russians “meddled” or whatever to actually call this thing out as the hoax that it is.
