Analyzing the specific data of each country separately suggests that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that the tunnel is not that long.
[the data] indicates that this bell's life cycle is around six to eight weeks, with its peak appearing after about two to four weeks from the time when incidents begin to occur at a substantial rate.

maybe the author reads this forum, someone posted a vanity with similar writeup some time ago
The death toll in Italy has gone down twice in a row now..also the amount of new infections has also dropped in Italy so that is a good sign
FL could have started by using their brains about spring break.
Governors can do this on their own. In fact, I suspect the travel bans imposed by red state governors are mainly aimed at keeping their states from getting overrun by people fleeing dysfunctional dumps like New York, New Jersey, California, etc.
Why did I click that? I knew what it was going to be and I clicked anyway. SMDH.
DiSantis needs to act Now on these people migrating, shut hotels, close rest stops make the place inconvenient to come to.
The death rate is declining. Once at 4.06% and now at 1.25% in less than a month. Saying it will go up, up, up again is speculation at best, numbers conjuring at worst.
Stats if you want them:
Death rate of Coronavirus has dropped from 4.06% to 1.84% and now down to 1.25%.
In the fact-challenged world of the coronavirus COVID-19, facts from Fox News analyst Brit Hume as he hit a homer with a single post on Twitter. The CDC has confirmed the percentages
As the number of cases has expanded, the mortality rate has declined. It will likely decline even further if and when those without symptoms can be diagnosed and counted, Hume tweeted.
He included a tweet from another Twitter user that laid out the death rate in the U.S. from COVID-19.
4.06% March 8 (22 deaths of 541 cases) 3.69% March 9 (26 of 704) 3.01% March 10 (30 of 994) 2.95% March 11 (38 of 1,295) 2.52% March 12 (42 of 1,695) 2.27% March 13 (49 of 2,247) 1.93% March 14 (57 of 2,954) 1.84% March 15 (68 of 3,680)...
4% death rate now well below 2%. It is 1.25% now. At this rate the number dead may be below or not much above the death rate from the flu last year of 80,000.
All we can go by are these stats as no one can prove for the future the death rate will go back up. And we can know provably are the stats before us now. The rest is speculation and numbers conjuring - like WHO seemed to do, which some seem to trust - except for common sense, washing hands, being careful, etc.
Not the time for hand wringing which leads to panic which can easily lead to
LOL
It would be interesting to read posts from 2009 regarding the Swine flu epidemic that was far worse than what is happening now.
He is relying on Chinese and Iranian claims which are just hard to take.
South Korea and Japan provide reason for hope. Especially South Korea.
DiSantis is looking squarely at a recall if he doesn’t get Florida’s act together.
What Nonsense
“He provides examples from what seem like all of the major hot spots, all pointing to the idea that it takes about 4 weeks for the rate of infections to peak and then it declines. Happy news if true.
Thoughts?”
A doctor in the U.S. has been posting a similar model for well over a week now. I firmly believe that the doc’s posts here on FR are spot on. You can find his last post here below.

Headed there now to voice my disdain for FL not keeping migrator scum from NY and points East out.
Ultimately though Americans are dying because Chairman Xi Jinpeng lied. He is responsible for this catastrophe
