An important note
No supplement will cure or prevent disease. With the 2019 coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, its especially important to understand that no supplement, diet, or other lifestyle modification other than social distancing and proper hygiene practices can protect you from COVID-19.
Currently, no research supports the use of any supplement to protect against COVID-19 specifically.Your immune system consists of a complex collection of cells, processes, and chemicals that constantly defends your body against invading pathogens, including viruses, toxins, and bacteria (1Trusted Source, 2Trusted Source).
Keeping your immune system healthy year round is key to preventing infection and disease. Making healthy lifestyle choices by consuming nutritious foods and getting enough sleep and exercise are the most important ways to bolster your immune system. In addition, research has shown that supplementing with certain vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other substances can improve immune response and potentially protect against illness.
However, note that some supplements can interact with prescription or over-the-counter medications youre taking. Some may not be appropriate for people with certain health conditions. Be sure to talk with your healthcare provider before starting any supplements.
Here are 15 supplements that are known for their immune-boosting potential.

Walk outside every day. Repeat daily. Did I mention you need to do it once a day? (Because the immune system boost is temporary).

VARDS? What’s that?
So do you want 8-12% absorption or 92-96%?
What Congress and the FDA did is shameful when they mandated RDA percentage, but did not mandate base absorption rates.
And Selenium is NOT a nice to have. It is absolutely imperative you have it in you. Brazil nuts are the highest concentration that you can get naturally. 500 mcg should fit for most, depending on weight. If you break out with a skin rash, that is because you reached toxicity: no problem, just take a high quality PROTEIN like soft scrambled eggs.
You need the blood test
They also died at age 35.....except Moses of course.
I’ve noticed a run on a very popular anti-depressant - Chocolate.

The article never says any of the supplements will boost your immune system.
Wonderful routine! Keep it up, and you can join me for my 100th birthday celebration LOL. Our dog passed away a few months ago at age 16, but she was a total joy for a pet. A little 11 lb Lhasa Apso breed. Those make wonderful pets. And they DON’T SHED hair!!
I am shocked how many foods I can eat now and get away with, which I could not do when exercise was not in my routine. In my mid-50’s every time I had a nice steak dinner in a nice restaurant, I got chest pains. I was on a cruise in late February a month ago, ate all kinds of high cholesterol food, and no problem. I go the gym and see only younger people in good shape there. Seniors must hate exercise.
ZINC is #2 on this list!
There are many, many studies that show when zinc is moved into cells via something called ionophores (chemicals which move ions across cell membranes), these zinc ions have very strong anti-viral and anti-cancer properties, preventing viral RNA from replicating, and causing the self-destruction of cancer cells.
Guess what - Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is a very strong zinc-ionophore. HCQ + Zinc are already being used a cancer treatment in many places. We shouldnt be surprised therefore that HCQ is proving successful against Covid-19
Otherwise, I eat mostly natural foods, berries, nuts, dark chocolate, yogurt, meats, fish etc.
I find the Vitamin store a disconcerting place to be at the mall. All those shelves of vitamins and supplements. People pay hundreds of dollars a month to get them all. I would rather get them through the foods that I eat.
Thanks, I will check those out soon.
That’s about 2 Brazil nuts a day on the Selenium, right?
...also...many supplements are made in China *cough*, or from ingredients sourced *cough* in China.
Least they covered their butt saying don't take anything without talking to your doctor first, but man, been seeing this over and over again on the internet and facebook feeds.
Well now:
If this isn’t truly a case study demonstrative of my pet metaphor “painting over dry rot”, I don’t know what qualifies.

2 ounces Brazil nuts should do it, but it depends on weight.
my vit D gets down to 8-9 in winter- i never feel any different- but docs get all bent out of shape about it- so i take 50,000 once a week for awhile, get level back up- feel no difference, but docs seem happier then- oh well- I guess it does something-
Vitamin C & Zinc have been proven for years to be effective...Kinda hard to find currently...Over the counter CBD oil can be effective for sleep..you wont get high but it works , certain brands are better than others. Sound Sleep , Exercise ,Hydration & proper Diet are essential if you take nothing else...
