Hillary should be in the third year of her jail term right about now. Do you think she’s feeling any shame?

I don’t mean to suggest that you think presidents are above the law, because in reality, they are. We can see it right before our eyes, it doesn’t matter if we think it or not, and it’s not just presidents. Peter Strozk is also above the law. James Comey is above the law. I could go on.

When Nancy Pelosi says no one is above the law, Nancy Pelosi is lying.

And I suspect that President Trump will not be afforded this same status.

“...the public shaming of former President Obama and Vice President Biden is far more important than indicting them,””

Except if, say, a nation desires to follow the rule of law, no?

Come on, man!

The OJ case damaged the public trust in the judicial system. Actually. As this is doing. As did the Benghazi travesty. It is demoralizing to see the chief of the justice system give a verdict, an innocent verdict, to the two most destructive perpetrators, even before all of tge information comes out.

We can hope that justice will prevail somehow but we a discouraged by wimpiness in our leaders.

Ok they can’t indict a president.

Do they care to, does Barr care to, state anything similar to the idea that democrats shouldn’t go after a sitting president in the manner that they have been during his entire presidency?

Does he care to state that one of the most obvious perpetrators under scrutiny for at least influence peddling with enemies of tge state, should not run for president?

No. The discrepancies give the democrats power over the gooS legacy of our country. It is difficult to watch them all beat us. Constantly. We’re left begging the good Lord to save us from these evil, seditious, reckless frivolous, ignorant, tyrannical, America-hating, constitution-loathing, depravity pushing, overspending, disrespectful baby murderers.

I should have worded that differently, I didn’t mean to suggest an accusation. Apologies.

But.....to indict a former president is to indict the system, which is populated by soulless people who worship the power, not the glory. Too many on both sides would be exposed so all sides will make sure it doesn’t happen.

I don’t doubt the Left will want to try to indict Trump if Biden wins. But doing so will expose Biden and Obama as well, and no way that happens.

Comey is the real criminal here. If anyone should be targeted it should be him. Many apparatchiks would fall if they get him under oath.

DeGenova isn’t an idiot as I disagree.

I don’t think that either Obama, and as a result no should Biden, be charged or anything.

Obama is our first black President. America was very fair to him, we sat back and watched him bow to desert morons, heard his wife said how for the first time she loves this country, ....we all knew he was directed by the likes of Valerie Jarrett but still, because...well we wanted him to succeed maybe?

To charge a president AFTER he leaves office for what he did while in office is just not a good idea. If he was doing stuff so damn bad somebody, the senate, the House, THE REPUBLICANS for God’s sake, should have dealt with it while in office.

America has more pride than to beat the hell out of its first black President after he leaves office.

No it’s not right and I know that eleventy million of you will tell me how wrong I am.

Maybe so.

But I ask to just think about it.

I am not likely to discuss this any more but I will be reading.

Fine, shame them with indictments and fair trial.

Afterword, shame them with a rope on a gallows, in Washington DC like the Lincoln conspirators.

That is the Justice they deserve, and as Hillary said, “IF HE WINS WE ALL HANG”, so they understood the stakes.

Obama is shamed because he hasn’t been in public taking questions from ordinary Americans since leaving office. Nor has he been around any reporters who might ask him about his role in spying on Trump.

While it sucks, the laws regarding intelligence gathering are weak. Very few will go to jail for weaponizing the IC. That’s just reality.

And prosecuting Obama is certainly not going to happen.

The win will be the Democrats will be the party that cheats in elections and spies on their opponents.

barr’s comment was to cover the over zealousness of the President... as the justice department barr has to say things like the chances of obama or biden coming under investigation are minimal...

“As to President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement, based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mister Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr said.

as of today... tomorrow there may be a criminal investigation... i count on it.

‘... heard his wife said how for the first time she loves this country,...’

Nope. She said “proud of” not “loves”

She could never say that. The “All this for a stupid flag” woman could never bring herself to say “love” in regard to this country.

Nixon v. Fitzgerald

In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the President is entitled to absolute immunity from liability for civil damages based on his official acts. The court emphasized that the President is not immune from criminal charges stemming from his official (or unofficial) acts while in office.

So citizens so sue Obama!

Shaming them is a logical impossibility. You cannot shame sociopaths who have no conscience

What’s really bothering me is that no one at all has been indicted in quite some time now.

I can understand what you’re saying about indicting a president. Ideally, I wish that was not the case. Personally, I’ll be shocked if they don’t go after Trump when he’s out of office though.

There needs to be some publicly visible justice administered.

Translation: We can’t reveal that both parties colluded to violate the Constitution.
Both parties wanted the natural protections of the natural born citizen requirement gutted.
Mission accomplished, now any anchor baby, Chinese tourist baby and Anwar al-Awlaki’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent are eligible to be President.
(If Ted is, they are)

“...public shaming is far more important than indicting them.”

Only a Republican could say something so stupid.

For whatever twisted logic, Republicans seem to be terrified of indicting powerful Democrats, no matter *what* offenses they commit. But at the *same time* they have zero problem indicting other Republicans for minor offenses, real or imagined.

Over time, this has “progressively” made the Democratic party more organized crime syndicate-like in its behavior, to the point where they no longer have *any* inhibitions about breaking the law. Only the lowest of the low, or those that have fallen out of the parties’ favor, like Rod Blagojevich, are “thrown to the wolves”, where as horrible, repeat and multiple offenders like Hillary Clinton and her cabal walk free.

But this behavior on Republicans part is what is to blame for crime waves committed by Democrat administrations at the federal and state level.

William Barr assumed office as US Attorney General on February 14, 2019. Before him, Jeff Sessions held the office from February 9, 2017 – November 7, 2018. And during that time, Republicans across the board have plead with them to issue indictments, by now HUNDREDS of them, but they just delay with the suggestion that “the next election” will resolve things.

NO, THEY WILL NOT!!!!

In effect, they are taking a list of the worst 10,000 felons in US prisons and releasing them to wander the streets after giving them guns. This is a good analogy to allowing criminal felons to stay in their elective or appointive offices and use government authority to commit even more crimes against the people.

And allowing them to leave office or retire instead of be indicted is just as bad. No, “it’s not better” now that they are out of office.

THEY COMMITTED CRIMES, SO THEY NEED TO BE PUNISHED.

And I’m sorry that it the idea of punishing criminals makes Republicans queasy. You need to do your damned jobs!

LOL - that's FUNNY.

You see - 1) they have no shame and 2) They honestly don't see this the way we do. They (the dims) think they did this to protect America...or at least that is the excuses being bantered about on social media.

So - without prosecution - there will NEVER be shame because in their minds it was and is justified because they honestly (at least as they have convinced their base and the media can portray it) believe they did it for God and country - to protect American interests. So - unless you prove criminality - they can make excuses and they will stick with - well - about 50+% of the population.

Sorry but Joe is wrong on this one. These clowns must be brought to justice and I have no doubt that there is intense debate going on in certain circles within the highest levels of the government. We need to stop treating the seditionists like legitimate, law abiding Americans. They are a diseased appendage which must be amputated to protect our nation.
