SEATTLE — On Sunday, the Seattle Police Department released video that shows improvised explosive devices being thrown at officers during violent protests Saturday.
Authorities said 59 officers were injured, including one who was treated at the hospital.
Officers used blast balls, pepper spray and sponge-tipped rounds in clashes with demonstrators and reported they had arrested 47 people.
Content Continues Below During the violence, police were hit with rocks, bottles and improvised explosive devices while dispersing a crowd with blast balls.
There was even an explosive used by someone to blast through the wall of the East Precinct, creating a small hole leading inside.
However, a lot of the destruction caused in yesterday’s protests were at the King County Youth Detention Center.
Vehicles were vandalized in the parking lot at the center.
Rioters used sledgehammers and shattered car windows in the parking lot while, at the same time, a row of construction trailers at a site next door were fire-bombed after about a dozen rioters scaled a fence.
Arson and vandalism are being investigated at the sites.
Although there were many clashes and violence Saturday, protesters told KIRO 7 on Sunday they will continue to peacefully protest despite the danger.
“We will continue to show up for Black Lives Matter regardless of the intimidation and regardless of the propaganda that says this is about looting,” a protester said.

I kind of live in New York City. Staten island :-) but I have family all over the country and they know what is going on in Manhattan. Because I tell them.

It meshes perfectly with their “anti-bullying” and sensitivity training about “microaggression” in schools and the workplace ... I used to think many of these people were mentally ill, but it is something more insidious than that ... they are evil.

The propaganda press is probably only showing the peaceful marches and interviews with people who lie about the rioters. CNN, etc is smart to be using the term “mostly peaceful” just in case images or words about the vandalism is seen by thier viewers. This way, voters who consume only the leftist press believe the lies.
One of the most infuriating things is those who think they are morally superior doing this - like the woman they interviewed who said they need to show up day after day. Does she work? What is her contribution to society, other than virtue signaling based upon inaccuracies and fallacies?
If the mayors cared about their cities they would authorize the police to shoot anyone throwing a bomb, or hard objects at cops, or setting fire to buildings or cars, or shooting at anyone. Once you mow them down, the other spoiled rich White kids living off their mommies and daddies will stay home.
