Postal Service overhauls leadership as Democrats press for investigation of mail delays
Chron ^ | August 7, 2020 | Jacob Bogage, The Washington Post

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy unveiled a sweeping overhaul of the nation's mail service, displacing the two top executives overseeing day-to-day operations, according to a reorganization memo released Friday. The shake-up came as congressional Democrats called for an investigation of DeJoy and the cost-cutting measures that have slowed mail delivery and ensnared ballots in recent primary elections Twenty-three postal executives were reassigned or displaced, the new organizational chart shows. Analysts say the structure centralizes power around DeJoy, a former logistics executive and major ally of President Donald Trump, and de-emphasizes decades' worth of institutional postal knowledge. All told, 33 staffers included in the old postal hierarchy either kept their jobs or were reassigned in the restructuring, with five more staffers joining the leadership from other roles. The reshuffling threatens to heighten tensions between postal officials and lawmakers, who are troubled by delivery delays - the Postal Service banned employees from working overtime and making extra trips to deliver mail - and wary of the Trump administration's influence on the Postal Service as the coronavirus pandemic rages and November's election draws near.

After reading the entire article, I decided that I like DeJoy and what he is doing. I like that he's striving for efficiency and seems to focusing on the core business of the Postal Service.

The Postal Worker's Union, a Communist front, has run the USPS for 40 years.

I can see where the Democrats are going to go batsh!t. How can they steal elections in Mailed Ballot states if they don't control the post office?

Looking at how this would play out...the postal union guys would hold a magnificent card if they decided to strike for the last week or October and the first week of November. They could ask for a 20-percent pay raise, and Congress would have to agree to give it to them.

outside of US, I can tell you all the FakeNewsMSM made a huge thing out of Trump allegedly changing his mind about mail-in voting...for Florida. Republican Gov mentioned, etc. haven’t seen any fact-checking as to whether Trump was referring to absentee voting or mail-in voting.
example:

8 Aug: Aljazeera: US: Trump’s attacks on mail-in votes could cost Republicans
Local Republican officials fear Trump’s attacks could hurt them as Democrats request ballots at higher rates.
SOURCE: Al Jazeera and news agencies
The US president’s unsubstantiated attacks on mail voting as vulnerable to fraud have soured many of his supporters on this alternative to in-person balloting as coronavirus sweeps the country, more than two dozen Republican officials from six politically competitive states told Reuters news agency.

Fearful of losing the White House and getting thumped in down-ballot races, party operatives are quietly taking matters into their own hands. Local Republican candidates are recording phone messages promoting mail balloting as safe and reliable, officials said, while volunteer door knockers have memorised talking points to persuade sceptical voters that their state’s system is fraud-proof.
“There is a real concern that [Trump’s actions] will end up suppressing the Republican vote,” said Amy Koch, a Republican strategist in Minnesota who is working on several races there. “We are trying to tell voters that mail voting here in Minnesota has safeguards, but I worry that Trump has the biggest megaphone and can blow the whole thing up.”...

Republican officials are so concerned about the trend that they, too, sent a mailer to Florida party members last month featuring an edited Trump tweet purporting to show the president’s support for mail balloting.
“The president’s base skews older - this is the same population at high risk for COVID and most worried about in-person voting,” said Dan Eberhart, a Republican fundraiser. “If I was the president I’d be making sure these people had ballots in the mail and could safely vote at home.”

Florida is among the states that allow mail voting without an excuse, the system Trump has derided as fraudulent. Still, on Tuesday, he took to Twitter asking Florida supporters to vote by mail, saying the state’s process is “Tried and True”.
Florida is a must-win state for Trump to have a shot at a second term. Trump himself has voted absentee there since he became a Florida resident last year...
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/08/trump-attacks-mail-votes-cost-republicans-200807121559809.html

the FakeNewsMSM are 100% going to push for mail-in voting - no doubt whatsoever:

VIDEO: 7 Aug: CNN: What’s behind Trump’s mail-in ballot reversal in Florida
by Michael D’Antonio
So why would Trump tout the state as a model of election security? The answer lies in Trump’s own words: Florida is led by a “Republican governor.”...
One problem for the President, in Florida and elsewhere, is the likelihood that many of his supporters would find it easier and safer to vote by mail. Having repeatedly bashed mail-in voting, Trump, it appears, recently realized he needs a good showing in the Sunshine State and now wants it both ways. Thus, Florida Man says voting by mail is bad, but also good...

Trump is back at it again in 2020, and his attack on mail-in voting — except in Florida — is so twisted that it makes me wonder if he had help devising it...

even sly Fox muddies the waters. at least they publish Trump’s clarification re absentee ballots vs universal mail-in ballots, but then they continue to confuse both in almost every paragraph.
you have to love the opening paragraph suggesting Republicans in Congress RARELY DISAGREE with the President! especially as they have no problem finding critics elsewhere in the party to slam him throughout the article:

VIDEO: 8 Aug: Fox News: Republicans warn mail-in voting rhetoric could backfire as Trump modifies stance
Some in GOP are raising alarms that Trump’s attacks could depress turnout
By Paul Steinhauser
In the Trump era, it’s rare to see a GOP leader in Congress publicly disagree with President Trump on an issue of great importance to the president.

But that’s what happened this week when Sen. John Thune of South Dakota – the second highest-ranking Republican in the Senate – pushed back when questioned about Trump’s monthslong crusade against expanding voting by mail...

Thune isn’t the only Republican airing concerns about the president’s full-court press against voting by mail, amid worries that the charges could depress Republican turnout in the November general election...
Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida also disagreed with the president’s strategy...

Amid the tensions in the party over the issue, the president earlier this week made an about-face in his charge against voting by mail – at least in Florida’s case.
“Whether you call it Vote by Mail or Absentee Voting, in Florida the election system is Safe and Secure, Tried and True. Florida’s Voting system has been cleaned up (we defeated Democrats attempts at change), so in Florida I encourage all to request a Ballot & Vote by Mail!,” the president tweeted...

The president’s change of course in the Sunshine State came as Florida’s Secretary of State’s office reported that, while Republicans have closed the voter registration gap with Democrats, Democrats have a massive 500,000 advantage in supporters who’ve signed up to vote by mail.
The president pointed to Florida’s current GOP governor – a major Trump supporter – as well as his Republican predecessor in Tallahassee in explaining his turnabout.
“They’ve been doing this over many years and they’ve made it really terrific,” he told reporters...

At the White House on Monday, Trump distinguished between universal mail-in ballots and absentee balloting.
“Absentee ballots are great,” Trump clarified. “They go through a process. You have to request them. But the universal mail-in ballots have turned out to be a disaster.”...

But some election officials argue there’s little effective difference between absentee voting and voting by mail. Five states voted entirely by mail even before the pandemic. They are Washington state, Oregon, Colorado, Utah and Hawaii...

Election experts do say that voting by mail is more susceptible to fraud than casting a ballot in person, but they’ve seen no evidence of widespread fraud or that absentee balloting favors Democrats...

Regardless of his about-face in Florida, some Republicans remain concerned that the president’s rhetoric on voting by mail will come back to bite the GOP this autumn.
Former Rep. Zach Wamp, a conservative from Tennessee who’s working with the election advocacy group Issue One to push for Congress to approve more election security funding, told Fox News he’s “concerned that the president may be unintentionally suppressing the very voters who are most upset with the mob and the socialist agenda. They typically are more conservative which means they like to be careful in how they vote. Obvious to me. Surely he trusts the states he won in 2016 with carrying out the election how they see fit including absentee voting.”...

And retweeting the president, Wamp – who was a Trump critic during the 2016 election – emphasized “Mr. President sir !Lots of red states (+blue states) need $ to carry out early voting expansion +legitimate absentee voting. GOP needs all seniors to vote. With extra pressure, the states need $ now.”

Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld, who last year launched a long-shot unsuccessful primary challenge against the president, told Fox News that Trump’s attacks on voting by mail “will suppress Republican turnout in battleground states.”...

But longtime Republican consultant John Brabender – a veteran of multiple Republican presidential campaigns – said that when it comes to dealing with the Democrats, “I think the president has decided that we’re going to beat them at their game and I’ve seen a fundamental shift in the past three weeks where Republicans have started to light a fire and say ‘it’s game on’ and they’re saying ‘we’re not going to just sit back and watch this happen and simply complain about it. We’re now going to fight them at their own game.’”...

Jeff Bezos can shut down any station he wants, simply bury it in parcels from Amazon. Targeting stations which primarily serves conservative areas in a national mail in election? Easy. 5-10 thousand parcels for that station (Amazon can deliver directly to the station for last mile delivery. There are no limiting controls for how many parcels Amazon can dump.)

But hey, everyone’s focused on other things at the moment.

Mail gets picked up
Sorted
And then delivered
I wonder how much “management” the place really needs. My old post master used to walk to the mall go shopping then walk back to the office and go home. Seems like the job could just be eliminated.

It may be the Democrats who are seeking to sow confusion and delay with their mail-in ballot frauds. According to looney Larry Tribe, "if the winner of the election is not determined by Jan. 20, 2021, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the third in line for the presidency, would assume the office."

Laurence Tribe: Nancy Pelosi becomes president if election isn't decided by Jan. 20

So in the Dem's thinking, if they can drag things out with lawsuits and slow-counting of mail-in ballots, they automatically get the Presidency.

Not really. The electoral college doesn’t report until about 6 weeks after the election.

Can declare them essential and if they don’t show up fire them and replace just like Reagan did to the air traffic controllers.

More than enough time to get ballots delivered even with new staff.

Based on commentary I saw last week....even if ‘all’ ballots were returned the day before the actual election day...the examination of the returned ballots (whether they would be qualified or disqualified) and then the counting (not just for President, but for Senators and House Members), would be delayed.

The states without the mailing business will function as normal, with Trump probably getting 20 states declared that evening. The rest of this won’t happen in November, and with court challenges....maybe not till January.

Cut carriers approximately in half.

Deliver in two groups. MWF and TThS Essentially give all the mail you now give to two carriers and let them deliver it in two days. It is already sorted by carrier route.

SCan the chicom essentially free package rate deal.

And...... Postal unions have been removed from authority to see ot touch mail in ballots.......I think.

Postal unions would be the actual fraud perpetrators. They hacve been effectively bypassed.

Trump et al are the destroyers.

Mail fraud destroyed. Black vote destroyed. Biden et al to be destroyed

When thinking of our efforts, President Trump has been effective beyond my wildest dreams. This week it is reported that the public has at 74% or so, lost faith in the mrdia.
