I’m reposting on the TFT.
No doubt, but who can say who has or has not asked for forgiveness?
Ditto
And I would bet a billion dollars that you don’t know what you’re talking about. Why do you speculate, without any evidence, about the character of the writer (Wayne Grudem) when you know nothing about him? Before he was a theology professor at Phoenix Seminary, he was a New Testament professor at Trinity Evangelical divinity School, one of the top evangelical seminaries in the world (and where I earned two graduate degrees, with honors). He has served on international evangelical boards and has been widely recognized as one of the top evangelical theology scholars in the world. Nobody has ever found anything to criticize about his character. Your post amounts to being an unfounded smear and slander. It is you who should ask for forgiveness.
Well worth the read. I even followed the links, and will read some previous articles.
Another thing, didn’t Jesus teach us to forgive as we are forgiven?
As to Trump’s flaws, how many have been propagated by the fake media and were pure lies or exagerrations? Certainly, his past isn’t without sin but point out a human that you know is without sin...there is none, only Jesus.
I know what he says starts with an uncharitable view of another human being.
When I hire a plumber to fix something, my ONLY criterion is whether he’s going to get the job done competently.
So far, I like Trump’s accomplishments.
I agree. As one who attempted to explain Trump to TrumpHaters, I can attest that they are intelectually shut down with closed minds. The pop-culture-fed hatred of their President is personal, visceral, hot and blind. This well-intentioned example letter is long and well done but it is Peals before Swine. “Zachary” will not read even 200 words into it.
God can use crooked sticks to make straight lines.
Please clarify. And was Grudem’s evaluation unjustified? Again, please provide clarity and evidence.
Zachary likely didn’t bother to read the astute, persuasive factual and logical defense the good doctor offered.
Evangelical leader in support of Trump letter.

Kurt Schlichter brings out a lot of good points in his latest book. One that struck me: For those that whine that Donald Trump is getting rich off the Presidency - have they considered what being President has cost Donald Trump? Not only in dollars (having removed himself from his lucrative businesses and TV show) but in loss of celebrity status and the overwhelming hassle of being hated on 24-7. Not many would choose to give up the life he led before to assume leadership of a nation that was in crisis due to the previous several administrations. He has given and sacrificed much for this nation.
We all have character flaws. David was appointed King of Israel by God, even though he was an adulterer and a murderer. Let the character flaws remain between Trump and his God.
Excellent point
“A person who would not vote for Trump is not a Christian.
I would agree with your reasoning entirely on the basis of abortion. In addition, I also submit that there have been and continue to be uncountable lies told about Trump - a Christian is not to bear false witness either.
The author points out that Trump contributes to the divisiveness because he insults his opponents and calls them derogatory names. What the author doesn’t point out is that Trump does that in response to those who attack, slander and libel him, and especially his family. I challenge the author then to step into his Christianity, publicly remind others to not accuse another of falsehoods and join the fray, call out the lies and untruths so maybe the POTUS doesn’t have to react in the way he finds divisive. What the author will receive is a dose of reality. W got similar treatment, he did not fight back at all, and look at how great the political discourse was for 8 years, not. It became worse and no one called the left out on its incivility.
There is no penalty for those that use slander and libel against their political enemies in order to seek, gain and hold power. Trump is responding in his NYC way of saying things - to what the demonkraps and the media has been doing for decades, and he is the problem? This is an attempt to silence him, again. He fights back and it goes with the territory, while all the cowards sit on the sidelines, not singing a single note against the perpetrators of libel and slander, or incivility - but blame Trump for it. Another lie.
