A Florida county sheriff on Tuesday sent an email to his deputies ordering them not to wear masks while on duty or when they are in his office.
The order from Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods extended to MCSO employees, as well as visitors

Woods said he came to this decision based on current attitudes towards police officers in the U.S., and to ensure clear communication from deputies. He said the no mask policy will also help identify anyone coming into the office.

And that's the real goal...It's an election year. Make people as miserable as possible. Not to mention allowing these control freaks more control of others. Comply or else. No one gives a cheet if you can't hear, or it's causing you breathing issues.

Particularly muffled (almost to the point of disappearing) are consonant sounds which will cause words to sound like different words.
Two days ago my wife of 59 years next month called as she was leaving an appt to come home, to see if we needed anything from a store near her.
She had her mask, on and at first, I didn’t recognize her voice.
Later she challenged me on that reality, and I told her to call one or both of our adult sons on her phone to see if they recognized her.
Neither 50 something son recognized her at first.
She is from the midwest and has zero accent. Our sons are in their mid fifties, and they know their Mother’s voice.
If her mask interfered with her voice on a phone that much, what the hell else is it doing?
However, there’s another county in Florida where they hired special mask police to detain and fine people not wearing masks OUTDOORS. DeSantis needs to put a stop to this.
About 2 months ago, I predicted that if this mask bs went on, we could be fined for not wearing a mask as cities, counties and states start running out of money.
Our friends/relatives on my: call list, ping list and email list remembers me making those predictions.
Now, that is happening across America. Some of the fines can be very costly.

A local radio station in NJ was talking about placing a Red Dot on your mask.
Their thought was to show people you do not agree with wearing a mask. Would be interesting to see if people start doing this and if so how many?
I would do that in NY minute if any are left in NY,
Wonder if we can get Red Dots that look like Red Pills?!
Indeed. These are harassment level, around $100, but the mask cops hang out around parking lots to watch for people taking off their masks before they get into their cars. I kid you not.

Somebody should sue because this is serious overreach. Gov. DeSantis refused to issue an order but foolishly gave the power to local authorities, just as Trump did. And now the mayors and county authorities are drunk on their power.
I read that one of the cities there actually has special “mask police” who go around trying to catch people taking their masks off In the parking lot before they get back into their cars.

As noted, I predicted these outrageous fines would be closing in us on about 1-2 months ago.
That was when my wife and I suggested by email to relatives, friends and others to avoid this B$ and hara$$ment by the Karens by buying cheap disposable masks to wear into stores and back to our vehicles.
We are getting feedback from the UK, Africa, from sea to shining sea in America that fines for not wearing a mask are from the UK to America and across America. They seem to be increasing in prices on a daily basis.
Besides control over us, fines for not wearing a mask are becoming a big time non tax cash bonus for the blue cities/counties and states.
Don’t know for certain that masks work but they certainly seemed to have helped here in NJ. Once most people wore masks, the infection rate dropped. Once mask wearing loosened up ( especially among young people), the cases started to go up again. Just my 2 cents.

I am personally seeing little efforts of passive-aggressive defiance on a daily and weekly basis in my travels. Maybe there’s hope - maybe not. But if the herbivores are starting to doubt the authorities at last, so much better.
Basically none of the people living in our cluster of Cul de Sacs wear masks while walking our flat land and hills.
We have a new pair of females walking in our area, in their late 50’s. My wife labeled them the new female Mutt and Jeff
walkers. The tall one carries about 6 water bottles, and the shorter one seems to be trying to keep up.
One day this week, they asked a neighbor if it was okay to not wear a mask while walking in our area. He told them, none of us wear masks while walking or working on our street. They told him thanks, and they didn’t want to wear masks on a street that can go from flat to over 400’ in elevation in a quarter of a mile.
We will probably have some serious interactions between the Maskholes and some of us.
