I’m surprised they didn’t suggest that people install a bunch of those old-style vacuum tubes. One end could be outside, with trick-or-treaters pushing a button to announce themselves. The other end would be inside the house. The resident could load candy into the tube from inside, & push a “Send” button to deliver it to the kids. Thus, the decrees of “thafety” and “thothial dithtanthing” (said with a lisp) could be maintained.
My wife works in public health for a county in California. Her department is woke from top to bottom, much more woke than the politics of the county she works for. She believes that at this point, the only way to fix Public Health is by having the Public Health Officer be elected. That way, they can be recalled and voted out. They’re too well insulated from the bureaucracy to be held accountable.
Amazing how they have a crystal ball 7 weeks from now. I thought it took 14 days to get rid of it. I’m sure Santa is next.
There is absolutely no doubt that the America haters are using the covid19 scare to trash anything that is good and part of American culture. Started with St Patrick’s day, then Easter, then Mothers day and Fathers day, Independence day and Halloween. I’ll bet you all the fleas on my prayer rug that they’re coming for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
