Hollywood stars ripped Fox News Chris Wallace for his role as the moderator of the first presidential debate on Tuesday, saying that the news anchor was too timid and lost control of the proceedings as President Donald Trump took control of the stage through sheer force of will.
Chris Wallace who repeated that false Charlottesville very fine people hoax and erroneously referred to critical race theory as racial sensitivity training had trouble maintaining even a semblance of order as President Donald Trump went on the offensive, dominating the show by aggressively interrupting and heckling Joe Biden.
Celebrities seemed frustrated that Wallace was unable to rein in President Trump, who took a steam-roller approach to the debate, dominating the proceedings through locomotive-size force.
Bette Midler tweeted that Chris Wallace is a wuss.
Actress Kerry Washington tweeted, Is there an understudy who can step in and play the role of moderator?!
Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus urged Wallace to get control over the debate.
The West Wing star Bradley Whitford joked that Wallace would be a terrible substitute teacher.
Scrubs star Zach Braff called Wallace the worst.
Seinfeld writer Larry Charles simply tweeted, Wallace sucks.

Wow. Are you having an episode right now?
I swore off all active live FR threads long ago. The election threads are the worst.
They are actors, not stars.
My neighbor essentially said the same thing this morning. He doesn’t seem like the most partisan guy but he was disgusted at the open shilling Wallace did for Biden. He also said Biden looked decrepit.
Do they know Wallace is a Democrat?
Seriously.
One of me is not. My expectations for Chris was as low as that for Joe. Yeah, Chris was biased but we knew that going in. Trump got to have his say. He got his message out.
Joe is Weak.
I said going in that was what Trump needed to do last night. Drive that point home.
Now that I’ve had a chance to sleep on it, I think that’s what happened. And Wallace contributed to it, by doing Joe’s fighting for him.
Now this is where Pence comes in, many think Kamala will be the “real” President if Biden wins.
Pence will take a whole different approach, better articulating Trump’s achievements while making Harris look petty and out of her depth. And Pence will do it with a smile.
Hell yes. All those “conflicted” by Trump foregoing Marquis de Queensbury conventions when he was tag-teamed by a media propagandist and a braying Democrat corpse can start organizing the “Jeb! 2024 Exploratory Committee.”
We knew that going in. The grapevine says Joe won't do anymore debates. He started losing his cool several times. Maybe somebody put a bug in his ear to stay calm.
Agreed.
I believe Chris Wallace said that he wouldn’t be a “fact checker” in his debate yet he contradicted himself when Chris talked about cities run by Republican mayors (and their rankings) with crime problems.
For Biden all he had was to pimp fear and not one sound idea about anything.
Chris Wallace has managed to unite voters across the country. Both sides think he did a horrible job.
Interesting that Wallass was not on Fox and Friends this morning - he would have been on had there not been all this criticism.
Wallace tried to moderate a debate that was geared toward an Ivy League debate competition. It should have been run more like a TV game show.
Sissy not being on FNF this am is very telling indeed. As much as he likes to hear himself talk it must have been painful.
Wow, Chris pissed everybody off.///
Poetic Justice !!!
I wouldn’t buy a pencil from that guy, much less the used cars he was pedaling last night.

Entertainment industry nitwits.
