Walter Williams interviewing Thomas Sowell for an hour on The Rush Limbaugh Show may have been Black America’s finest hour. Two brilliant minds.

“Most Rush stations pre-empt him for Governor press conferences. Its a common complaint on the Rush threads.”
Good point but not all Rush stations. I stream Rush on I-Heart Radio everyday.

Did NBC allow Trump to appear on the sickeningly fawning townhall with " No they offered him a similar event.

I hope the word gets around and Rush has the largest audience ever. I find it trying to listen to the radio these days, although I have been listening to Rush and his fill-in for the last week or so. I’m sick of every other commercial being about the China Virus. I’m sick of the gold schiester ads too.

Fairness doctrine no longer exists. The equal time rule still exists.

From a younger man's point of view.

When?
Do you have a link?

It’s why I primarily listen to a 500-watt oldies station in a neighboring county. Not a lot of commercials, and almost no political ads. And the ones they do run are for local dogcatcher races.

And equally important, who is going to select these fake “independents” aka rabid Biden supporters in the audience?
To: SmokingJoe
There are many links. Do a search. e.g.
NBC has said it previously extended a similar offer to President Donald Trump, who on Sunday remained hospitalized with COVID-19.

And equally important, who is going to select these fake independents aka rabid Biden supporters in the audience? NBC would select them of course. Both Mark Levin and Chris Plante have said that equal time applies to the stations that they broadcast on.

The rules are different for broadcast stations than for cable networks.

There is no point in Trump diong a townhall on NBC with a never Trumper “moderator” and rabid Trump haters disguised as “independents”.
And, Biden is not getting an invite to appear on Rush. It's his show, he can invite who he wants.
To: palmer
Why don’t you humor me and show me a link.

"Q: What is the "equal opportunities" rule of political cablecasting?
A: Once a cable system allows a legally qualified candidate to use its facilities (by identifiable voice or picture), it must give "equal opportunities" to all other legally qualified candidates for that office to use its facilities. The cable system can not censor the content of the candidate's material in any way, and can not discriminate between candidates in practices, regulations, facilities or services rendered pursuant to the equal opportunities rules.
Candidates must submit requests for equal opportunities to the cable system within one week after a rival candidate's first use of the cable system. If the person was not a legally qualified candidate at the time of the rival's first use, he or she may submit a request within one week of the rival's next use of the cable system after he or she becomes a legally qualified candidate.
