The Burbank Unified School District in California has banned several classic literary works that contain racial slurs. To Kill A Mockingbird and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are two of the classics on the district’s new list of banned books.
According to a report by Newsweek, a school district in Burbank, California, has banned several classic books that contain racial slurs. The list includes: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Of Mice and Men, The Cay and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
The decision was motivated, in part, by an alleged incident in which a student used a racial slur he learned in the book Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. “My family used to own your family and now I want a dollar from each of you for the week,” one student reportedly said to a black classmate.

Exactly, x100. My grandparents were almost in the same camp as your grandmother. Their kids didn’t quite “get it”, but I did. The others in my generation all think they were racist, but ... they weren’t. It was the vernacular at the time. Not good, not bad, just words.
they’re “job’ is to sow division amongst us all.

Yeah men if the left succeeds in its coup, it’s over for white people.
Are you going somewhere? I'm not.
The left tells us Huck Finn must be banned because of racism, but they lie—to us and to themselves.
Huck Finn is a brilliant, poignant and unsparing study of human nature. Any honest understanding of human nature is a mortal threat to their program.
There was an old episode of Family Ties about the “issue” of banning Huck Finn from schools. They actually used the n-word in the episode and it still airs that way in reruns surprisingly. The point of the episode was that Alex, based on libertarian principles, his parents, 1960s liberals, and their daughter, an SJW-style activist liberal, all agreed that banning the books was wrong, censorship, counter-productive, un-American, etc. The consensus that liberals and conservatives had about certain things in the Reagan era is now gone in an era where cancel culture has taken hardcore root on the left.
Book burning fascists. Stuff like this will become more and more commonplace.
At some point we will be instructed to get our checkbooks to pay for slavery reparations.
Good thing such idiocy was not done back in 1961 when I became a prolific reader. I would have never got the thrills from H.P. Lovecraft’s RATS IN THE WALLS or the South Sea tales of John Russell, or the writings of Joseph Conrad.
Even the dog’s name in THE DAM BUSTERS by Paul Brickhill makes the book now verboten!
Ever notice that the vile curse words of the 1940s, 50s and early 60’s, which would have gotten you a beat down if spoken in mixed company, but N——r was OK back then.
Now N——r is forbidden but the vile curse words are all over the movies and TV or smeared on walls in public today.
The Left thinks they will use “racism” to revolutionize America to whatever perverse vision they currently have.
They should ban “Catcher in the Rye.” What a load of tripe that book was. High school English teachers adore it for some strange reason.
Those have been banned so many times over the decades that it has become a ‘badge of honor’ to get banned.
The NWO kiddie books are like My Two Mommies and My Sister Is A Guy, To Kill A Baby. (do not kill a mockingbird or there will be hell to pay).

If you buy that story a guy named Jack has some magic beans for sale or trade.
Soon we will have to salute or bow to all govt workers. Bank account? You don’t need all that. Private property? No such thing.
Mark Twain was a staunch abolitionist. Back in the not always good old days it was the klan that wanted Huck Finn out of the Southern schools and libraries because it dared to depict a Black man in a positive light. At least those a-holes were honest about their bigotry. SWJ,s BLM ANQUEEFA are no different, they just pretend to be down for the struggle.
The Nazis banned books too
