A New York City waitress says she was fired from a popular Brooklyn restaurant after choosing not to get the COVID-19 vaccine for fear it might hurt her chances of getting pregnant.
Bonnie Jacobson, 34, told The Post that the management at Red Hook Tavern canned her on Monday because she balked at getting the shot immediately.
“It was shocking to me,” she said Wednesday. “I went through the stages: I’m hurt, I’m in shock — then I got mad.” Jacobson, who has been married since October 2019, stressed that she’s not an anti-vaxxer and “fully supports” people being inoculated, but said she wants to wait for more research on the coronavirus vaccine’s possible effects on fertility.

Another thing is that abortion was started by saying that raped women had a right to get an abortion. You open the door an inch and shopkeepers won’t have to let anyone in their shop who hasn’t been vaccinated. You can’t travel without the vaccination. Now maybe you think getting the vaccination is the right thing to do but a lot of people don’t trust the lying scum that runs this country right now. We don’t want a vaccination. It isn’t going to stop until they are forcing you by holding you down. If that isn’t conservative to you that I don’t want this to happen then too bad. A restaurant owner can choose who he wants to hire but an individual has rights too.
You can require it? From your employees or who you requiring it? all the sudden. lot of Freepers don’t like the free market.
Where have you been? A majority of Freepers went anti-free market about five years ago, or so.
But, I'm not sure this is a free market thing. Some Freepers may think that employers like this restaurant shouldn't require it, but don't necessarily think they shouldn't be allow to require it. There is a difference?

I really hate lawsuits but this covid bullying needs to stop at all levels from the government to the Karens. Covid bullies need to be given bloody noses.
I have a question for you: now that we are using this vaccine, should we scrap the process we’ve been using for vaccines up to now and switch to the process we’ve been using for COVID-19 vaccines? i.e. make the whole approval process less than a year, instead of the much longer one we’ve been using up until now?
To add to your question; should the new paradigm for vaccines be that they are all listed as experimental from now on so that the manufacturers and health care providers are all 100% free of liability for any harm the vaccine might do?
The company’s business to know what your personal health choices are? If they can do that for this vaccine, what else? Can a strip club require women take birth control medication to minimize the chance of them getting pregnant with customers? Can they even ask if an employee is or is not taking a drug or vacicine?
I have 3 kids, 1 over 18, 2 under. I will not allow the two under to get the vaccine, just as I will NEVER get it myself. My 75 year old dad (who is a Carter era Democrat) is signed up to get it, despite my ask to wait a year - til 2022. Considering he lives with me, I still don’t get any say so, as he’s still my dad.
I just ask him did the government have the Indians best interests when they passed out flea ridden blankets? And, even a newer example, the Tuskegee experiment with Syphilis, was that in the best interest of those folks?
Any reasonable adult would say “Hey, the freakin’ cold has been around for hundreds of years, if not thousands, and there’s no vaccine for it. Yet, the governments of the world cooked up a vaccine for this in less than a year?” I’m calling BS. Either this was planned years ago, vaccine too, in an effort to reduce population, something, I don’t know. I just know there is NO way this vaccine can be effective with zero side effects and be developed from scratch in a year.
Well RNA is Ribonucleic acid, and is the building blocks of your DNA.
And, this isn’t just a ‘new vaccine’, but it’s a new TYPE of vaccine. It doesn’t use ‘dead’ samples of the virus. It uses mRNA (now, it’s been awhile since my science classes) I believe mRNA is mitochondrial RNA, and is supposed to make you less receptive to the virus by tricking your body into thinking it has the virus, and making the anti-bodies to fight the virus all without injecting you with the virus.
And, with any treatment less than a year old, you (and I) have NO idea what the side effects, the lasting effects, or the vaccine ACTUALLY does to a human body.

As far as being a tyrant for engaging in ‘lawfare’, sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Red Adair demonstrated many decades ago that a great way to put out an oil fire is to blow it up. That’s fighting fire with fire, literally.
The only thing the vaccine would do for her is keep her from getting symptoms. It does not make her non contagious, does not stop the virus from replicating, and does nothing to protect the customers or the other employees.
Hope she enjoys owning her new eatery.

A company may insist I take *temporary* steps like wear a mask or a space suit during work hours, measures which I can remove during the 128 hours per week that I am not at the office. Demanding that I take injections is a demand that I buy into their vision of how my immune system should operate in perpetuity. It is no more reasonable than the boss demanding to Sodomize his employee daily as a condition of employment, and moreover insist that the employee not even clean up afterwards (letting a private company do what it wants, no?).
You believe in mandatory vaccinations (medical assault on the unwilling). We get it. Stunning to hear a MD think that a product still under emergency authorization, and apparently still under investigation until end of 2023 can be forced on others. Meanwhile not a peep out of any of you (your fellow FR MDs) when it has been pointed out in a recent study that normalized vitamin D levels turns your little plandemic into a less-than-flu nothingburger. I sincerely hope that an array of trial lawyers sues you all into the ground.
PS. An acquaintance’s FIL finally succumbed to medical neglect aka cv19 this evening. The a-hole attending physicians refused therapeutics of any kind for *weeks*. I think they finally consented to give the patient 500mg vitamin C, which is less than what the patient took daily (while not in their clutches). I offered my attorney as a resource to no avail. Without a medical POA, the ghouls in charge of the unfortunate cv19 patient can do whatever they want (ie. generally nothing around...standard of care!); the family could not transfer the patient to another local hospital where real MDs like Dr Kory actually practice medicine.
Based on what? She’s married and wants to have a child, so statistically she may be a Republican.

When nearly half a million Americans died in 2020, whatever vaccine works is more critical than the method used to create it. I understand 90% of seniors in Israel are now vaxxed, and the infection rate has dropped significantly. Actual results Trump any opposing theories.
