I believe this is to show that Dominion has no grounds for claiming defamation. If no one believes Dominion caused any harm by Powell’s statements they can hardly claim they were defamed since their public perception was not changed.

Weren't going to get the National party's attention any other way. The greater risk to the nation was allowing the Democrat team steal the election. With Bribem as Pres there is nothing two senators are going to do to mitigate the disaster this will be.
It was well worth the gamble. The national party needs to take it's voters concerns seriously if it doesn't want to lose power.
