The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) may impose more travel restrictions and rules over the emergence of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus Omicron variant, according to federal officials.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky told reporters Tuesday that the CDC is evaluating whether to change its policy by having travelers to the United States test for COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP virus, closer to their departure as well as “additional post-arrival testing and quarantine” measures. The CDC is working with airlines to obtain information on passengers for contact tracing should the need arise, she continued.
“Based on the data … the medical team will make a recommendation on any changes to international travel policy,” Jeff Zients, President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 response coordinator, told reporters.
The CDC is also expanding its surveillance at four major international airports in a bid to determine whether Omicron is present in travelers into the United States, Walensky said. The surveillance measures will be implemented at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, and San Francisco International Airport.
“This program allows for increased COVID testing for specific international arrivals,” Walensky continued, “increasing our capacity to identify those with COVID-19 on arrival to the United States and enhancing our surveillance for the Omicron variant.”

On Friday, Botswana said the country was investigating certain mutations of the coronavirus that were found in four foreign nationals who were in the country on a diplomatic mission...
The four foreign nationals, ***aged between 30 years and 65 years who had come to Botswana on November 7, tested positive on November 11 and on further investigation their samples showed new mutations on November 22, said Smith-Lawrence. She added that the government uploaded the data on the international database the next day.
“Unfortunately ... finger now points to Botswana to say it originated in Botswana, or it is a Botswana variant, which I think is quite unfair and unnecessary at this time,” she said, adding that 14 of the 19 people so far detected with the variant were foreign nationals.
She declined to name the nationalities of the people or from where they had flown...

Globally, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said the numbers of weekly COVID-19 cases and deaths have increased for more than a month.
The European region logged an 11% increase in new weekly cases, while other regions reported a decrease or similar incident to the previous week.
The Western Pacific and Americas recorded “relatively” stable case incidence, but both reported a large spike in new weekly deaths, 29% and 19% respectively.

I thought Biden’s presidency would be bad. Really bad. And that I was braced for it.
But it’s beyond belief.
Maybe American business travelers need to collectively zero out United and Delta’s revenue for a couple of months. Until they feel the pain, CEOs are not going to shout down the Marxists in their own HR and diversity departments, much less the ones in DC.
They are lawless. Because the whole administration is lawless. And because the courts are puppets. And because congress is toothless and just cares about staying elected so they can steal steal steal.

Several items:
First - Another indication that Obambi and his minions are really in charge. Obambi ignored federal judges time after time. When a Federal Judge ruled that Obambi’s ban on drilling in Federal areas was unconstitutional, Obambi just ignored the ruling. Several of Obambi’s Cabinet Secretaries simply refused to appear in court. Finally, a judge issued a warrant, so they appeared, and the judge made a point about the ruling. Obambi turned right around and issued a new order. It was exactly the same as the last one.
Second item - the Soviet Union controlled most of the populace by limiting their ability to travel and move about. One needed the correct ‘papers’ to travel on the busses and trains. If you did not have those papers, you could not travel. What the history books fail to mention is that the Soviets did not issue papers to a great many, so they could not travel.
Vaccine ‘papers’???? If they get their way, they will limit us, stating ‘well, the price of gas is so high, you don’t need any stinken papers. Just remain in your little area, and we might feed you if we get around to it.

Do not confuse the Department of health and human services federal agency CDC vs the CDC Foundation.
The first is a full fledged Federal agency authorised by Congress. The latter is a public private partnership also authorised by Congress but not a Federal agency.
